  14. Space Explorer is a screen saver where various planets
  15. and space objects fly over the screen(the window of a
  16. space ship).
  17.  
  18. Please read through following important description before you
  19. run setup.exe:
  20.  
  21.  
  22. A). What will be installed by setup.exe?
  23.  
  24.  The SETUP.EXE will copy five files into your windows directory:
  25.  
  26.  space.src      -- The main executable file of Space Explorer;
  27.  space.txt      -- Documentation file;
  28.  
  29.  collide.wav    -- Wave file required for collision sound effect;
  30.  space_0.wav      -- Wave files required for background music; 
  31.  space_1.wav
  32.  
  33.  planet0.bmp
  34.  - planet14.bmp -- BMP files for space objects; 
  35.  
  36.  If the package includes the utility, Savervisor,  the SETUP.EXE 
  37.  will copy five files into the directory that you
  38.  specify(the default is c:\saverv):
  39.  
  40.   saverv.exe - The executable file of Savervisor ;
  41.   readme.txt - this file;
  42.   saverv.txt - More information about Savervisor;
  43.   utility1.dll - An utility file required by Savervisor.
  44.  
  45.  If Savervisor is included, the setup.exe will also
  46.  copy
  47.    
  48.    saver.exe  -- Executable file for Savervisor;
  49.    saver.txt  -- Documentation file for Savervisor;
  50.  in to the directory that you specify and copy
  51.  
  52.    utility1.dll -- Utility file for Savervisor;
  53.  in to directory c:\windows\system.

  55.   SETUP.EXE WILL NOT MAKE ANY OTHER CHANGE TO YOUR COMPUTER.

  59. B). Environment requirement: 
  60.  
  61.  - VBRUN300.DLL;
  62.  - A sound card is recommended;
  63.  
  64. C). How to install?
  65.  
  66.  "Step By Step" instructions for installation:
  67.  
  68.   1). Download the latest version of space49.zip and
  69.       VBRUN300.DLL(if you don't have one in your system);
  70.   2). Copy space49.zip into a temporary directory, say c:\tmp;
  71.   3). Unzip space within c:\tmp using pkunzip.exe;
  72.   4). Run c:\tmp\setup.exe from File Manager(double click at the
  73.       icon of c:\tmp\setup.exe);
  74.   5). If this package includes a utility, Savervisor, you will be
  75.       asked to key in the directory where Savervisor will be installed.
  76.       You need to either key in you own directory or use the default 
  77.       one. If the package does not include Savervisor, you will not see the
  78.       dialog.
  79.   6). The setup program will then ask you choose from one of following
  80.          a). Run the saver now;
  81.          b). Setup the saver now;
  82.          c). Exit to Windows now;
  83.        You need to choose one of them.
  84.     Note: if you choose (click at) the first choice, "Run the
  85. saver now",
  86.           please don't move or click your mouse after click at
  87. the choice.
  88.           Otherwise, you will disable the saver right after you
  89. enable it.

  91.   If you like setup or test the saver that you have installed,
  92. please open
  93.   the Desktop of Windows Control Panel, select the saver from
  94. Screen Saver
  95.   section, and test or setup the saver.

  97. D). TroubleShooting:
  98.  
  99.     Q:  I have downloaded your screen saver recently 
  100.         and I was having a problem with getting it to work
  101. properly.  
  102.         After initializing I get a message "... caused a general 
  103.         protection fault in module VGA.DRV at 0001:0ca2". 
  104.   
  105.     A:  Changed your screen driver in winsetup to SVGA.
  106.  
  107.  
  108. E). How to get more information?
  109.  
  110.  
  111. This program is a shareware.  You are welcome to distribute this package
  112. (space49.zip) by any means: copy it to your friends, upload it to your
  113. favorite BBSs or On-line systems.  
  114. However, it is NOT a freeware. You will be able to use(evaluate) it up to 30 
  115. times or 30 days. You then have to register(pay fee to its author) if you still 
  116. want to use it after that.
