  1. 01This function will give you a brief description of the functions and
  2. 01features for each menu item.

  4. 01The WINCOIN help file has more detailed help for every screen and
  5. 01function.  Use the F1 key from any panel or highlited menu item to
  6. 01retrieve detailed help.  Use the SEARCH button on the help screen to
  7. 01search for specific topics.  Open help from the Menu bar to retrieve
  8. 01the help initial starting screen.  PRINT is available to print help
  9. 01topics.

  11. 01The help file also contains version history and a frequently asked
  12. 01question section.

  15.   Inventory
  16. 02This is the main panel for this program.  Inventory is displayed
  17. 02by year and grade.  Click on year and grade to add or update.
  18. 02    View and maintain inventory, on orders, and wants.
  19. 02    Print inventory report/listings for individual category types.
  20. 02    Access grading, history, type notes and general notes for category type.

  23. 02    Multiple inventory records for coins and grades.
  24. 02    Text notes available for each inventory record.
  25. 02    FAST ADD feature for loading inventory.

  27.   Reports
  28. 03Inventory Report shows all coins in a category type. Many options
  29. 03    are available to customize this report, including a multi-column
  30. 03    option to condense report.
  31. 03Inventory Listing lists all inventory and its associated fields.
  32. 03    This report also has many options available for customization.
  33. 03Want Report is intended to provide a hard copy of all data you
  34. 03    need for the coins you want to take with you to purchase coins.
  35. 03    Three versions are available, including auto-want and all have
  36. 03    customization options available.
  37. 03Price Report shows all prices entered into the system.

  39. 03On-line reports show on-orders, wants, buys, and other inventory.
  40. 03An inventory valuation report is also available on-line.

  42. 03Report writer allows for customization of reports with any fields.

  45. 04This function will allow inquiry and maintenance for prices.
  46. 04Prices can be entered into the system for each coin and grade.
  47. 04Two price lists can be maintained in the system.

  49. 04Print a price report for an individual category type.
  50. 04Prices can optionally be printed with want reports for a particular
  51. 04coin and with inventory reports.

  54. 05This panel accesses the maintenance panel for general notes.
  55. 05Notes can be whatever text data you would like to keep.
  56. 05Notes are kept by a note index which is a description of your choice.

  61. 06Add and maintain category types (ie. Wheat pennies)
  62. 06Maintain grading data, history data, and type notes for category types.

  66. 06   New varieties of older coins can be added and sequenced into
  67. 06   their proper position.

  70. 06and grading services.  New grades are easily added and positioned
  71. 06into their proper sequence.

  73. 06Maintain grade template.  Grade templates allow you to customize
  74. 06your system to determine which grades are displayed for each coin
  75. 06type.  Any grading scheme you want can be created.

  78. 07System Utilities shows statistics for all files.
  79. 07Allows for file compression for space optimization and efficiency.

  83. 07Rebuild index routines are for use if files are damaged.  This
  84. 07could happen if a power failure occurred during a compression.

  98. 09closed.  There is also a backup option located here to backup

  106. 10There are no upgrade fees for Wincoin.  Once registered, you get
  107. 10a registration code which is good for all future versions of
  108. 10Wincoin.

  110. 10I hope you find this system to be of value in maintaining and
  111. 10completing your coin collection.  The main idea is to be able to
  112. 10have a system which provides a checklist which does not have to
  113. 10be purchased each year and re-entered each year.  Ability to
  114. 10customize to suit your needs was a key design point.  Also you
  115. 10can provide as much or as little data about your coins as you
  116. 10like (only quantity and grade are required).
