To make selection, point the mouse to the funtion on the Menu bar and press down on the left button. In order to make a schedule, these items must be completed: o - A Department must be set up, use menu item "Schedule employees" to add, change or delete departments. o - Employees for that Department must be entered, use menu item "Employee records" to add, change or delete employees. Once the above is completed: o - Click on menu item "Schedule employees" o - Click on "Prepare a department Schedule". o - Select the department from the list of departnents. The Editor will be displayed for scheduling. To schedule time, point the mouse to any Employee location, press down on the left button (hold it down) and drag a line by moving the mouse. Place the pointer in the center of the line, press the left button (hold it down) and move the line left or right. You may stretch a line representing time worked and push it intothe next or previous day. To stretch an existing line, point to either end, hold down the left button as you move the mouse. If you double click on a line, the line will be deleted. To copy a day schedule for one employee, point to the line and press the right mouse button, a message will show the mouse holding time. Point to any location the same day or other days, press the right button again to duplicate. To pick up another, click on the "holding time message" to reset and repeat the process. You may duplicate an entire day for all employees to any day that has no time, using Copy on the menu bar. Use scroll bars to switch between days and hours displayed to the screen. If you have more employees than will fit on the screen, use the vertical scroll barto scroll up and down. To monitor time or wages while scheduling, click on the options on the bottom. In the Department profiles, information is entered that is unique to a Department. A Department may include the entire organization or Departments within the organization. Each Department may have up to 100 Employees. Day Types are Codes and Names that explain an activety for a day, V= Vacation, T= Training etc. For use in Law Enforcement, you could assign A= Am Court or P= Pm Court, to indicate court appearances. In the Editor where worktime is entered, these Day Types can then be assigned. Codes must be a number or an alpha character (except the "W"). Entrees are checked to prevent duplicates. To enter or change a Day Type, you may either point the mouse to the line and press a valid Day Type key or point to the line, click on Daytypes on the menu andpick the Day Type needed. Day Types will appear on Reports. The font that you selected is too wide to print all the information accross the paper. Select a font that is smaller or change the paper orientation from portrait to landscape.
