  2. ~~Remove any items from the scanner glass.
  3. ~~Lift the Transparency Adapter cover to the fully raised position.
  4. ~It should remain in the up position without user assistance. 
  5. ~Do not allow it to fall from this position to avoid damage. 
  6. ~~Ensure that nothing is blocking the Transparency Adapter from being fully raised.
