CD55A OS/2 Device Driver version beta
Installation Procedure
The TEACCD1.ADD file should be added to the OS/2 2.1 CONFIG.SYS file.
The following OS/2 files should also be added to the CONFIG.SYS file.
If you have previously installed OS/2,
1. Make sure you have the following line in your CONFIG.SYS file. If the
line is missing, add it to your CONFIG.SYS file.
DEVICE=C:\OS2\CDFS.IFS /Q
2. Make sure you have the following line in your CONFIG.SYS file. If the
line is missing, add it to your CONFIG.SYS file.
IFS=C:\OS2\CDFS.IFS /Q
3. The OS/2 CD-ROM device driver must be disabled. Remark the following
line in your CONFIG.SYS file.
REM DEVICE=C:\OS2\CDROM.SYS /Q /N:4
4. Copy the TEACCD1.ADD file to C:\OS2
COPY X:\TEACCD1.ADD C:\OS2 [Enter]
5. Add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS file.
BASEDEV=TEACCD1.ADD /P:xxx /S:x /I:x /T:x
/P:xxx - Port address (220, 240, 260, 280, 300, 320 or 340H etc.)
/S:x - CD-ROM fixed speed (1, 2 or 4). Omit this switch for auto
speed setting.
/I:x - Power Save time : H=30 sec, M=60 sec or L=80 sec. Omit
this switch for default power save time of 360 sec.
/T:x - Host interface type : 0=Sound Blaster, 1=TEAC I/F card
or 2=Sound Blaster Compatible.
6. Copy the OS2CDROM.DMD file from the OS2CDR package to C:\OS2.
COPY X:\OS2CDROM.DMD C:\OS2 [Enter]
7. Add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS file.
DEVICE=C:\OS2\OS2CDROM.DMD /Q
Then reboot the system so that these changes can take effect.
Creating an OS/2 environment for installation from a CD-ROM disk.
1. Create two disks using INSTALL.BAT or INSTALL.CMD that came with
the OS/2 ver. 2.1 CD-ROM.
2. Copy the TEACCD1.ADD file into the second disk created in step 1
above. If there isn't enough disk space, remove any .ADD files that
will not be used.
3. Add the following line to the CONFIG.SYS file on the second disk
created in step 1 above.
BASEDEV=TEACCD1.ADD /P:xxx /S:x /I:x /T:x
/P:xxx - Port address (220, 240, 260, 280, 300, 320 or 340H etc.)
/S:x - CD-ROM fixed speed (1, 2 or 4). Omit this switch for auto

4. Continue to install OS/2 as normal.
