  9. ** General information about the install program:
  10.    The OKIDATA OL600e Installation Diskette contains valuable software for use
  11.    with your OKIDATA OL600e Page Printer. The software installed from this
  12.    disk is the DOS Operator Panel. This INSTALL program provides the operator
  13.    with a means to install the software on this floppy to a hard drive.
  14.    The program is divided into two tabs. The first tab is labeled DIRECTORY.
  15.    Located on this tab is a data entry box that is used to enter the directory
  16.    in which to install the software.

  18.    The second tab is labeled LPT PORT. Located on this tab is a group of three
  19.    Radio Buttons labeled LPT1, LPT2, LPT3. To select which port the OL600
  20.    printer is connected, press the corresponding radio button. The default is
  21.    LPT1.

  23. ** The DIRECTORY TAB
  24.    Use this tab to change the directory name by placing the cursor in the box
  25.    using the mouse or by pressing the <TAB> key. The directory name can be any
  26.    valid DOS directory name. The default is OL600E. Again use the <TAB> key to
  27.    select the INSTALL or CANCEL buttons or press <ALT><L> to select the LPT TAB.

  29. ** The LPT TAB
  30.    Use this tab to change which port will be used by the DOS Operator Panel to
  31.    communicate with your OL600e printer. If you do not know which LPT port
  32.    your printer is connected to, select LPT1. If on first use of the DOS
  33.    Operator Panel you see: [INITIALIZATION ERROR -  Non-Compatible Printer
  34.    Attached] run INSTALL again and choose another port. Use the <TAB> key to
  35.    move the highlight to the LPT radio buttons. Then use the ARROW keys to move
  36.    between LPT ports. Again use the <TAB> key to move to the INSTALL or CANCEL
  37.    buttons or press <ALT><D> to switch to the DIRECTORY TAB.

  39. ** The INSTALL BUTTON
  40.    Select this button to begin the installation of the DOS Operator Panel. The
  41.    software will be installed into the directory selected on the DIRECTORY
  42.    tab.

  44. ** The ABOUT BUTTON
  45.    Pressing About button creates a dialog box which contains copyright and
  46.    revision information pertinent to the INSTALL.EXE installation program. 
  47.    Press the OK button to remove the dialog box from the screen.
