Version: 1.00.001
October 19, 1995
A) Description.
--------------
This directory contains the Matrox Hardware Accelerated 3DR driver for
Windows 3.1 only. It does not support Windows 95. In addition, the
driver requires Intel 3DR, version 2.0.15.
To use the driver you must choose ModeSwitch with QCDP and a 3D video
mode with the MGA Millenium Control Panel.
B) Installation procedure.
--------------------------
1. Copy the content of this directory in a directory on your system.
2. From the Windows file menu choose run and execute the install.exe
program. This installs 3DR 2.0.15.
Run "install.exe win32s" if you need to install win32s.
Refer to the Readme.3dr file for more information.
3. Copy mga32.3dr, sx16x64.dll and sx32x64.dll to your windows
directory on your system. This installs the Matrox driver.
4. Modify the 3dr.ini file in your windows directory as follows:
The line IHV_DISPLAY=GEN32.3DR must be commented out by
adding a semicolon at the beginning of the line.
The line ihv_display=mga32.3dr must be added below the
commented line.
C) Known bugs.
--------------
1. No support for ModeSwitch feature of our Windows Driver.
You must close all 3DR applications before switching video
mode.
2. This driver does not work in 8 bpp video modes.
3. Shaded objects may have bad colored pixels in them.
4. Under Truespace 2.0:
a. Sometimes when painting an object with a texture map some
triangles are missing from the object. Move the object or
click on the 3DR icon to fix the problem.
