  1. This file contains information about the program COLPRCFG.EXE
  2.  
  3.  
  4. Contents of the file:
  5.  
  6. 1.    Function
  7. 2.    Operation
  8.  
  9. 1.    This program enables you to make settings, which you would normally 
  10.         make in the Printer Setting mode via the printer's control panel, 
  11.         in the software. Further information on the different factory settings 
  12.         can be found in section 3.4 of the User's Manual.

  14.     The following settings can only be altered via the control panel:
  15.  
  16.     I    Loading position
  17.     II    Interface mode (serial interface for Macintosh and type B optional)
  18.     III    Auto interface wait mode
  19.  
  20. 2.    Before you run the program, first make sure that the printer is properly
  21.         connected with the PC and then switch on the printer.
  22.  
  23.     Caution:
  24.         When you switch on the printer, be careful not to hold down any 
  25.         of the control panel buttons.  This is only necessary when you 
  26.         want to alter your printer's factory settings via the control panel.

  28.     To start the program, enter the following at the DOS prompt:

  30.                          COLPRCFG <Return>
  31.  
  32.     Then display the Main Menu by pressing <Return>.  The Main Menu contains
  33.         a list of the factory settings.  Use the cursor keys to highlight the 
  34.         setting you wish to alter and then press <Return> to display the menu 
  35.         containing a list of the possible settings.
  36.  
  37.     To exit the individual menus, simply press <Esc>.  You can also use 
  38.         <Esc> to call up the dialog box for exiting the program.
  39.  
  40.     Once you have altered the factory settings, print the self test to check 
  41.         the new settings. To print the self test, hold down the Economy/Condensed
  42.         button on the printer's control panel and then switch on the printer. 
  43.         To select the language, press the Font button as as indicated in the 
  44.         table and then confirm your selection by pressing the Alt button. The 
  45.         self test will be printed out with the current settings.
