Video Blaster SE100 Configure (VB SE100) is a utility program that allows you
to configure the device driver setting for boot-up initialization of your Video
Blaster SE100.
The Interrupt (IRQ) is the signal line your Video Blaster SE100 uses to notify
your computer's central processor that it wants to send or receive data for
processing. The default setting for the interrupt is at IRQ 10. Make sure that
this setting does not clash with another device on your system. If you need to
use an interrupt other than the default, select the desired setting, and change
the jumper configuration on the Video Blaster SE100.
The Port Address is the base I/O address used by the Video Blaster SE100 to
distinguish itself from other peripheral devices in your system when sending or
receiving data. The default setting for this address is at 718H.
The Frame Buffer Base Address should reside outside your physical RAM. For
instance, if you have 8MB RAM on board, your frame buffer base memory should be
set at 9MB or above. If your system has 16MB RAM or more, you should either set
the frame buffer to upper memory, or disable memory-mapped access. All
applications can still run if the address is set to DISABLED. The only penalty
is that memory access will be slower.
