$IDEATA_1 = "Novell IDE (ATA/ATAPI Compatible) Host Adapter Module (HAM)"
$IDEATA_2 = "This module is the NWPA driver component
that manages the host adapter hardware, and it must
be loaded in conjunction with a corresponding Custom
Device Module (CDM). The corresponding CDMs provided
by Novell are IDEHD.CDM for IDE ATA compatible hard
disk drives and IDECD.CDM for IDE ATAPI compatible
cd-rom drives. If NWPA's CDM-AutoLoad feature is
enabled (default=ENABLED), these CDMs will be loaded
automatically following a bus scan if compatible
devices are detected.\n\n
Use this HAM driver with IDE ATA/ATAPI drives that
are either connected directly to the system
board or to a paddle board in the system bus.
The IDEATA HAM driver supports primary, secondary,
tertiary and quaternary port addresses. This allows
up to four IDE IO channels to be supported on the
system. Some IDE controller boards may not support
all addresses or interrupts. Load the HAM driver
reentrantly for each IDE IO channel (port and
interrupt combination).\n\n
The default options are for the primary
adapter address settings. This is the
standard internal controller. If the second,
third, or fourth channels are available, load the HAM
with the appropriate parameters."
