  235.             taken approximately 9 months with many beta/preview 
  236.             versions.<BR>Version 1.0 was the first one that I had been happy 
  237.             with :o)<BR><BR>Now, here's v1.1 which includes the latest 
  238.             bugfixes.</I><BR><BR>Dynamics processors are essential when 
  239.             recording, mixing and editing music. But when it comes to 
  240.             compressing an entire sum signal, a lot of digital compressors turn 
  241.             out to be unusable, many of them were made to process single-track 
  242.             signals only.<BR>On complex sources they tend to produce a 'pumping' 
  243.             sound, distort or just make your music lifeless. There are 
  244.             manufacturers telling you 'this is the only compressor you'll ever 
  245.             need'. Don't believe them. Sound signals are far too complex to be 
  246.             handled by a single device.<BR>Your music deserves care and 
  247.             attention to details. This applies especially to the post-mixdown 
  248.             stage, often referred to as 'mastering'.<BR><BR>Endorphin is no 
  249.             universal talent either.<BR>It is a specialist for complex sources 
  250.             like a mixdown, after having made minor sonic adjustments and right 
  251.             before burning the track to CD.<BR>Furthermore, it can help to 
  252.             increase depth, definition and loudness of a track.<BR>I call it an 
  253.             'analog-style' compressor: endorphin uses models like 
  254.             frequency-dependent nonlinear operation, different harmonics 
  255.             creation stages as well as two basic compressor circuits taken from 
  256.             the analog realm.<BR><BR><BR>An overview on the features:<BR><BR>

  274.               <LI>Global 'de-comp/sat' section. It's <I>you</I> who decides how 
  275.               the unit reacts to large amounts of gain reduction as well as 
  276.               <I>when</I> and <I>how</I> to saturate.<BR>
  277.               <LI>Maximum output: -0.1dBFS. This is very helpful when using the 
  278.               plugin as the last stage before burning the CD.<BR></LI></UL><BR>The

  280.             included in the download file.<BR>I would definitely recommend that 
  281.             you read through the sections in order to fully understand the 
  282.             concepts and their potentials as well as the dangers of 
  283.             over-compression and the common over-doing of 'loudness 
  284.             correction'.<BR><BR>I designed this unit to sound smooth and 
  285.             musically. This might greatly depend on your source signal and your 
  286.             personal taste. Any comments on the usage and your opinion about
