  5. Hotkey Master is a Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP shareware utility that generally
  6. accelerates your normal computer workflow. Your work in any Windows application
  7. can be greatly accelerated if you smartly use this utility. Besides this,
  8. Hotkey Master can also be used to easily access some typical Windows features.

  10. You usually create the hotkey and assign it some system-wide key combination
  11. that activates it. You can set the hotkey timer that activates this hotkey at
  12. specified time or even periodically at specified rate. The third option is to
  13. show the hotkey name in the tray icon menu, so you can easily access it and
  14. activate it.

  16. Each hotkey has one or more commands that are being executed sequentially.
  17. Commands include: keyboard macros that simulate high-speed keyboard typing,
  18. mouse events, run applications/documents/web pages, screen resolution changer,
  19. audio mixer controllers, dial-up connections, hibernate, stand by, log off,
  20. shut down the system, alarm messages, toggle any window's "always on top"
  21. status etc.

  24. Some examples:

  26. If you often type some exact text, for instance your e-mail address, you can
  27. easily make keyboard macro and just press the hotkey, let's say Control+Alt+E,
  28. in any application and your e-mail address will appear momentarily.

  30. You work in 1024x768 in all windows programs except some high-end graphics
  31. application. Create the hotkey to change the resolution and start this
  32. application. And another hotkey for changing back the resolution.

  34. If you use some menu option in your favorite application every little while,
  35. but this application doesn't support macros, create your keyboard macro that
  36. activates this menu item.

  38. If you have the sound card that is connected to the hi-fi sound system, which
  39. is, of course, on the other side of the room and you don't want to use the
  40. remote, you can easily assign audio mixer volume controls to the keys of your
  41. choice.

  43. Listen to your favorite mp3 playlist while going to sleep. Set the hotkey timer
  44. to turn off your computer in 30 minutes.

  46. Use a remote control to control DVD player's features while watching the movie
  47. on the TV. Or control mp3 player or any other application the same way.

  49. Assign mouse movement to the keys if you need to control the mouse with a pixel
  50. precision in some graphics application.

  54. Hotkey Master saves all of its data, including hotkey definitions, in the
  55. registry under the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mario Knok\Hotkey Master.
  56. You can export this registry key to save your hotkey definitions and import
  57. them later by double-clicking the exported .reg file.

  70. Keyboard macros, periodic timers and window messages can be very dangerous if
  71. used incorrectly.
  72. Don't set periodic timer with the repeat time too low for demanding tasks, or
  73. you'll freeze your computer.
  74. Be extremely careful with the keyboard macros. The most powerful Hotkey Master
  75. feature also implies the highest potential danger. You must not record the key
  76. combination of the hotkey you're recording, or this hotkey will call itself
  77. over and over again freezing Hotkey Master or even the system. You could even
  78. record some extremely dangerous key combination that deletes all files from
  79. your hard disk. I simply cannot be held responsible if you or anyone else
  80. records that kind of dangerous macro.
  81. Use Send Message command only if you know exactly what you're doing. This
  82. command has also potential danger if used incorrectly.
  83. Hotkey Master installation ships the application without any recorded hotkeys.

  92. If used beyond the 30 day evaluation period, Hotkey Master must be registered.
