Basic instructions / FAQ:
-------------------------
- Right click icons to customize them
- Click the "Configure Object Dock" item or right click the center bar to bring up general options for the dock
- ObjectDock features two separate drawing modes. The default is the common Microsoft GDI+ engine, which produces consistantly high-quality images, however it is often slow for some users. However if drawing seems too slow to be useful using GDI+ mode, try switching to use the "Custom Engine", as the Custom Engine is usually faster than the GDI+ engine, especially on older computers.
- ObjectDock can read PNG image files, as well as 32-bit icon files in both WindowsXP *and* Windows2000. Images to be used in items can be put anywhere... ObjectDock will search its folders and all of its subfolders of it for images. It is recommended that you use subfolders to categorize your images, like what was done with the included "Crystallized" images.
- The taskbar can be turned on or off, use the dock's options dialog to choose.
- Images can be set to windows based on 1) The main program file they are running out of, and 2) their window "class" name. The more specific class name takes priority to the program file name in the event images have been set to both. (Example, one for the mail program, and another for an email window)
- Files and folders can be dragged onto the dock to create new items, however objects such as "My Computer", etc cannot yet be dragged onto the dock.
- You can drag items off the dock to delete them, or delete them from their options dialog.
- Many more features are on their way, so be sure to keep up to date on ObjectDock's progress!
- Have fun! I hope you enjoy ObjectDock!
