<p class="Paragraph"><help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress provides you with many tools for creating presentations, such as guides for positioning objects, automatic snapping of the object to a freely definable grid or to each other, and scaling and cross-fading effects. There are even more features, for example, quick text entry, text structuring and positioning in frames, on objects, as legends, etc.</p>
<p class="Head3">Designing Vector Graphics</p>
<p class="Paragraph">In <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress nearly all the tools found in <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Draw for creating vector graphics are at your disposal.</p>

<p class="Paragraph"><help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress can manage almost any number of slides in each document. Each slide represents one screen or overhead projector sheet of your presentation. Templates in <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress enable you to have a uniform format for your slides.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">The slide shows in <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress can be made less monotonous by employing some of the many effects available. Choose from the numerous cross-fading effects supplied, set the on-screen duration for each slide, select a sound effect or assign animation effects to any object on any or all pages which are called up by mouse click, for example.</p>
<p class="Head3">Develop Presentations</p>
<p class="Paragraph">There are also other features in <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Impress which can help you create your presentations easily and quickly. In the Slide view you can see an overview of all the slides, which can then be rearranged, copied, cut and pasted using Drag&Drop even beyond the visible area. Use the Notes view to note texts that are also important but which are not to be visible during the presentation, and print accompanying material for your viewers in the Handout view.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">If you rehearse the running time of your presentation you can automatically stop the time and, for example, enter the time required to read out the text for each slide.</p>
<p class="Head3">Publishing Presentations</p>
<p class="Paragraph">With the aid of a special AutoPilot, you can export your presentation to be published in the Internet. All the necessary conversions are done automatically. The presentation you export can be viewed with any modern browser.</p>
<p class="Head3">Performing Live Presentations</p>
<p class="Paragraph">If you want you can draw on a slide with the mouse during a presentation to underscore important points as if you were using a highlighter.</p>
