  1.                  MultiArc plugin for Windows Commander

  3. WARNING!!! This is beta version - and you use it on your own risk!!!

  5.   What it does:
  6.  
  7. It allows to view, extract and modify contents of archives that is not currently
  8. supported by Win Commander i.e. JAR or IMP. This plugin transforms commands, that 
  9. WC do into the corresponding external archiver calls.
  10.  
  11. You can add support for you favorite archiver by yourself - just edit
  12. multiarc.ini file.

  14. Some ideas was "stolen" 8-) from FAR file manager by Eugene Roshal. Thank
  15. you, Eugene - you write a GREAT program but I prefer GUI applications in
  16. GUI environment. 8-)

  18. KNOWN BUGS: 
  19. 1) Now "also pack path names" mode is ON always - files ALWAYS packed 
  20.    with path names.
  21. 2) Progress bar that WC show during long time archive processes - is 
  22.    a not REAL percentage. Becasue I have no information about it from archiving
  23.    process and have to use very dumb algorithm to calculate it. I hope
  24.    to beatify this in next release.

  31. How to install this plugin (32 bit only):
  32. 1. Unzip the contents of this archive to the Wincmd plugins directory (usually c:\wincmd)
  33. 2. Edit multiarc.ini to setup archive types. Additinal archivers addons you can 
  34.    can find in "addons" directory.
  35. 3. YOU HAVE TO EDIT PATH TO ARCHIVER UTILITY!!!
  36. 4. In Windows Commander 4.0 (or newer), choose Configuration - Options
  37. 5. Open the 'Packer' page
  38. 6. Click 'Configure packer extension DLLs'
  39. 7. type the extension configured archiver using
  40. 8. Click 'new type', and select the multiarc.wcx
  41. 9. Click OK
  42. 10. Repeat steps 4-7 for all configured archivers with exclusion at step
  43.    6 - you should click "new type" only first time. The next time you
  44.    should select multiarc.wcx from listbox.
  45. 11. Add directories that contain configured archivers to you PATH or edit multiarc.ini
  46.    to allow plugin find and use it !!! Also you can copy this archivers to 
  47.    WinCmd directory
