1. Instruction for the installation of MovieXone 4.0
To ensure that MovieXone runs properly, the following operating system add-ons should be installed on your system.

Download from http://www.microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads/default.asp

- Recent WindowsMediaPlayer
Download from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/en/software/playerv7.asp
These components are not contained in the installation routine for MovieXone,
in order to keep the routine as small as possible.
If these components are missing, you should install them after the download.
2. Settings for OpenGL Support
For accelerated display of even altered video content your MovieX software
supports "OpenGL" for fast rendering.
Most of the current graphics cards and drivers support this functionality. To
ensure best possible work flow, this interface is set as default.
With a few of the older graphics cards and drivers you may experience problems
or MovieX software may not even start. If this is the case, change the settings
of your MovieX software to software rendering as follows:
- Exit the MovieX software.
- Click "START" on the Windows task bar and select "Programs", "AIST",
"MovieX" and then "VideoSetup".
- In the dialog box ("Use Software Rendering") select "No". Click "Next".
- In the next dialog box you can select the default video system for your
MovieX software. Depending on the system of your country or project,
choose between PAL/Secam or NTSC.
- Click "Finish".
- Restart MovieX.
More information on how to use OpenGL can be found in "Getting started" and in
the Reference manual of your MovieX software.
3. MovieX-Tuning
After programstart a welcome page will open. It provides some links to
additional information that can be found on the AIST Internet pages. The last
item "MovieX-Tuning" is also available without direct connection to the
Internet. This page contains more information on how to adjust your MovieX
software to your hardware and to your individual requirements.
4. Operating System Requirements
Your MovieX-Software will run on the following operating systems:
Win98SE, WindowsME and Windows2000 (with IEEE1394 Support).
Win98 and WindowsNT 4.0 SP6 (without IEEE1394 Support).
WindowsNT 4.0 with at least service pack 5 is required, service pack 6 is recommended.
For Windows2000 it is recommended to install service pack 1 or service pack 2.
5. Samples
If the MovieX software has been completely installed, you will find several samples in a subfolder called "Samples" in your MovieX directory. Examples for editing, compositing and animation can be found here as well as on the AIST web site (www.aist.com).
6. Device driver for IEEE1394 devices ( firwire or iLink )
Problems can occur with a few camera types (for example a mosaic-like image during capturing), installing the DVCONNECT drivers (you can find them on your product CD in CD:\driver\TexInst\DVConnect330.exe) will solve the problem.
The drivers can be deinstalled at any time through Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / "DVConnect".
