  4. This license applies to the registered version of GeoTools.  If you
  5. are using an evaluation version of GeoTools, see the section titled
  6. titled "Evaluation License" below.

  8. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions
  9. before using this software.  Unless you have a different license
  10. agreement signed by both Sentinel USA, Inc. and Four Dimension
  11. Technologies, your use of this software indicates your acceptance
  12. of this license agreement and warranty.

  14. Registered Version

  16. One registered copy of GeoTools may either be used by a single
  17. person who uses the software personally on one or more computers,
  18. or installed on a single workstation used nonsimultaneously by
  19. multiple people, but not both.
  20.  
  21. You may access the registered version of GeoTools through a network,
  22. provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the
  23. software covering all workstations that will access the software
  24. through the network.  For instance, if 8 different workstations
  25. will access GeoTools on the network, each workstation must have its
  26. GeoTools license, regardless of whether they use Geotools at
  27. different times or concurrently.

  29. Governing Law

  31. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

  33. Disclaimer of Warranty

  35. THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND
  36. WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OR MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY
  37. OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  In particular,
  38. because of the various hardware and software environments into which
  39. GeoTools may
  40. be put, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS
  41. OFFERED.

  44. thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it.
  45. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program.  ANY

  52. If you have purchased a license for the registered version of

  63. GeoTools is not free software.  Subject to the terms below, you are
  64. hereby licensed to use this software for evaluation purposes
  65. without charge for a period of 30 days.  If you use this software
  66. after the 30 day evaluation period a registration fee of $399.00 for one
  67. license is required.  Payments must be in US dollars drawn on a US bank,
  68. and should be sent to Sentinel USA, Inc., 51 North Third Street,
  69. Suite 203, Newark, OH 43055. Credit card ordering and quantity discounts
  70. are available, as described in the file ORDER.TXT.  When payment
  71. is received you will be sent a registered copy of the latest
  72. version of GeoTools.

  74. Unregistered use of Geotools after the 30-day evaluation period is in
  75. violation of U.S. and international copyright laws.

  105. unmodified form via electronic means.  There is no charge for any
  106. of the above.

  109. donations, for any such copies, however made; and from
