  47. NOTE : I planed to implement SubViewer 1 support too, but it's time
  48.        definition was too stupid (Whole Seconds only). 
  49.        I recommend not to use it.

  53. 2. Opening a Subtitle File
  54.  
  55. On the right side you can see the content of currently opened
  56. file. Subtitle Studio (SS) can work with only one opened file.
  57. To open a file press the OPEN button in the upper right corner.

  61. 3. Framerate Conversions
  62.  
  63. Not every movie is grabbed at same framerate. DVD's are
  64. mostly 25 or 30 FPS but there are ex. 15 FPS ASF Files too.
  65. If your downloaded subtitle file doesn't match your video,
  66. their framerates may not be identitcal. To correct this
  67. you can use SS like this :
  68.  
  69.          1. Open the subtitle file.
  70.          2. If you know the subtitle's source framerate 
  71.             select it in INPUT FILE -> FPS combo box.
  72.             Or you can press the INPUT FILE -> FPS from Video
  73.             button to get FPS directly from video file.
  74.          3. In OUTPUT FILE -> FPS select target video's framerate
  75.             ( you can use OUTPUT FILE -> FPS from Video too )
  76.          4. You can see that the values are changed.
  77.          5. In OUTPUT FILE -> Output File Format Select
  78.             a format (in framerate conversions i recommend to
  79.             select output format similar to input format)
  80.          6. Click Save.

  84. Another Example :
  85.  
  86.      I have a DivX Video Matrix grabbed from DVD at unknown framerate 
  87.      with subtitles . My friend has ASF Matrix at unknown framerate. 
  88.      Subtitles don't match. 
  89.  
  90.          1. Open matrix.sub
  91.          2. INPUTFILE -> FPS From Video : Select my MATRIX.AVI (DIVX)
  92.          3. OUTPUTFILE -> FPS From Video : Select friend's MATRIX.ASF (ASF)
  93.          4. Now I can see that the conversion will be in 25/15
  94.          5. Save converted sub -> MATRIX2.SUB
  95.          6. That's it.

  97. NOTE : When using SubRip or SubViewer 2.x framerate conversions are not needed.

  101. 4. Time <-> Frames Conversions
  102.  
  103. This case occures when converting  [SRT, SubViewer 2.x] --> SUB (MDVD)
  104. Do it like this :
  105.  
  106.          1. Open Subtitle File
  107.          2. If Converting Time Subtitles >  * in OUTPUTFILE -> FPS select
  108.                                               target framerate or push 
  109.                                               FPS from Video
  110.                                             * Click Frames    ( Mode )
  111.  
  112.             If converting Frame Subtitles > * in INPUTFILE -> FPS select
  113.                                               the source video's framerate or push
  114.                                               FSP from Video
  115.                                             * Click Seconds   ( Mode )
  116.          3. Select OutPut Format
  117.              * If Converted to Frames, select MicroDVD SUB
  118.              * If Converted to Time, select SubRip or SubViewer 2.x
  119.          4. Click Save

  123. 5. Joining Files               
  124.  
  125. Sometimes you need to join two or more files. Do it like this :
  126.  
  127.          1. Open The First File
  128.          2. Click Join And Select The Second File
  129.                 NOTE : I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO JOIN SUBTITLES IN SAME FORMAT
  130.          3. Joining Form appears...
  131.          4. If Modify Values is checked the second file's values will be
  132.             recomputed and appended at the end.
  133.             If you want the second file to be connected some time later,
  134.             set the time in the GAP editing box and press Preview to check
  135.             the changes
  136.          5. If everything is OK press JOIN button.

  142. 6. Splitting Files
  143.  
  144. If you have a big subtitle file and want to split it into two or more
  145. smaller files do it like this :
  146.           
  147.           1. Open the First File.
  148.           2. Prepare everything as you want to save it.
  149.           3. Click SPLIT
  150.           4. A New Window Appears...
  151.           5. Select where you want to split the data and click Split.
  152.              * or write the time you want to split after into the
  153.                Split After editing box and press Preview to check if it
  154.                is ok. The nearest match will be selected.
  155.              * or click Split After Video Ends, select a video file and
  156.                subtitles will split in the time when the video ends.
  157.           6. If everything is set click SPLIT
  158.

  161. 7. Setting Delay
  162.  
  163. Set the delay type ( Mode ) and enter delay value into the Delay editing box
  164. and press Apply.

  168. 8. Creating Your Own Subtitles
  169.  
  170. It is very easy to create your own subtitles in every format.
  171. Use the ADD, EDIT, INSERT and DELETE buttons.
  172. You can perform all actions mentioned with this self made subtitles.
