  9. Description :
  10. XTalk is a talkclient and it was written for use under the graphical user interface X11. It is full useable with mouse or the keyboard via shortcuts.
  11. The important functions are also accessible over the buttonstrip with
  12. easy understand symbols.
  13. The functionality compared with the "normal" talkcommand was expand considerable. It is possible to save the written and received text with an
  14. any name. Moreover you can scroll in the text. No informations are lost.
  15. The telephonbookfunction is very useful for frequent used talkpartner.
  16. The connection parameter will show permanent on the statusline under the
  17. buttonstrip.Besides you can open a second or third connection without great
  18. difficulty, by using the menupoint "File->New XTalk".
  19. Very useful is the build in FTP function. She is based on a own protocol and
  20. therefore only enabled, when the partner runs also a XTalk client. By
  21. construct a connection, XTalk looks, if XTalk is running on the other end.
  22. In this case, the transfer menu will enabled automatically.
