  25. 1.0 EFECTS PROCESSOR PRO FEATURES

  27. EPP is a real-time audio effects processor for Win 95/98 & Win NT.

  29. EPP offers a flexible palette of high quality modulation effects (phaser, flanger,
  30. chorus, C-Delay) to enhance any audio material.  A simple, accurate and customizable
  31. tool for your creativity.

  34. - no noise due to processing: all processing procedures and links between effects sections
  35.   are made with 64 bit accuracy, this ensures truly clean and noiseless sound.

  45. 2.0 INSTALLATION 
  46. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  47. EPP requires a Pentium  processor and a video board with at least 256 colors 
  48. capabilities (optimal setup >=65536 colors).

  50. To install EPP you have to:

  52. - create a proper  folder on your hard disk  
  53. - unzip "epp15.zip" (the zipped file you have found on the net) into that folder
  54. - create a short cut to "epp15.exe"
  55.  
  56. To know how to configure EPP for maximum performance, please, look in the 
  57. "Installation & configuration" section of EPP help file.

  59. EPP offers effective real time (low latency time).

  76. 3.0 EFFECTS OVERVIEW

  78. FLANGER
  79. Flanging is an effect produced by mixing a signal with a delayed time-varied copy of itself. 
  80. This generates a typical "whooshing" sound.
  81. EPP flanger program produces stereo flanging with two flanges that move in a user definable 
  82. relationship with each other.

  84. Parameters
  85. delay: affects flanging timbre.
  86. depth: regulates the modulation depth.
  87. rate: regulates the speed of the modulation.
  88. feedback: controls signal recirculation. It creates a sharper timbre.
  89. degree: allows stereo enhancing of an incoming audio signal.
  90. mix: controls the unprocessed/processed signal ratio.

  92. This flanger works also as a stereo comb-filter, and it can be useful to produce 
  93. interesting effects.

  96. PHASER
  97. EPP phaser program produces stereo phasing. This effect, popular in the '70s, creates 
  98. a sound similar to a Flanger, but less metallic.

  101. Frequency: affects phasing timbre
  102. depth: regulates the modulation depth.
  103. rate: regulates the speed of the modulation.
  104. feedback: controls signal recirculation. It creates a sharper timbre 
  105. degree: allows stereo enhancing of an incoming audio signal
  106. mix: controls the unprocessed/processed signal ratio

  108. This phaser works also as a stereo allpass-filter (plus unprocessed signal added). 
  109. This creates a sophisticated notch filtering action.

  112. CHORUS
  113. Chorusing is an effect that creates the impression that a given part is being played by more
  114. musicians together. It is used often to sweeten and widen the sound of an instrument. 
  115. As for a flanger, it is produced by mixing the incoming audio signal with a delayed time-varied 
  116. Copy of itself. Unlike flanging, the chorus delay is wider (>8ms).

  118. EPP chorus program is a four voice chorus (two stereo pairs).

  121. delay: affects chorus timbre and dimension.
  122. depth: regulates the modulation depth.
  123. rate: regulates the speed of the modulationMOD.
  124. feedback: controls signal recirculation creating a sharper timbre, and a "small reverb" sensation.

  132. This effect creates a rich chorused delay. Its flexibility allows to obtain a great variety
  133. of effects like crisp and wide stereo choruses, long delays (up to 1 second), modulated delays,
  134. spatial enhancing and more.

  138. depth: regulates the modulation depth

  182. When you install EPP the program is in a "demo" mode. This means that you cannot use all
  183.  features of the full version, but you can test the software before you decide to purchase it.

  185. Without registering your copy of EPP, the following restrictions apply :

  187. - Audio stream interrupts every 15 seconds during real time processing
  188. - You are not able to save files longer than 15 seconds
  189.

  192. Registering Effects Processor Pro you will get a personal registration number; as a 
  193. registered user you will receive further passwords to unlock all the intermediary minor
  194. releases (when available).

  196. Minor releases correspond to an increment in the minor version number (i.e. 1.3,1.4).
  197. Minor releases consist of bug fixes, little changes and small feature additions.
  198. Major releases correspond to an increment in the major version number, (i.e. 1.0,2.0).
  199. Major releases will contain major new enhancements and features over the previous version.

  239. EPP is a SHAREWARE application (JUST FOR $30 U.S.). 
  240. Subject to the terms below, you are licensed to use this software for evaluation purposes
