About this release
This is a beta version of pixCat, so it can contain bugs and other problems. Use under your own risk.
Minimum requeriments
- PPC or 68k Macintosh
- 2Mb of RAM (depends on the size of the original pictures you're trying to catalogue, if you have problems, try increasing the partition size, under Finder, select "Get Info")
- QuickTime¬ 3 or higher (recomended 4)
Using pixCat
pixCat is designed to be of intuitive use, but if you still have questions about some special features of pixCat, read this small manual.
- Choosing a destination folder: pixCat will save two files in the destination folder, the output JPEG file and the optional HTML. To choose the destination folder, just click the button whose name is "Destination Folder". The path to the destination folder is written below the button.
- Opcion de archivo HTML: Si quiere que pixCat genere un archivo HTML para poder ver el catalogo con su browser favorito o para crear un catalogo en la web, puede activar esta opcion. Al hacerlo se activan dos campo: el titulo del archivo HTML y el otro es el directorio relativo. En el directorio relativo puede escribir el directorio para las fotos (incluido la foto catalogo), si es que estas no se encuentran en la misma carpeta que el archivo html. Si tiene la version registrada, pixCat puede resolver el directorio relativo por usted. Ej: si el archivo HTML se encuentra en una carpeta de nombre "pixCat catalog", y las fotos se ecuentran en otra carpeta, dentro de la carpeta "pixCat catalog", de nombre "res", el directorio relativo sera "res". No es necesario incluir el "/" (slash) final para indicar que es un directorio. Si las fotos y el archivo HTML estan en la misma carpeta, deje este espacio en blanco.
NOTE: Si quiere que el archivo html listo para ser publicado en la web, debe considerar que el directorio relativo es el del servidor, no el de su disco duro. Otra cosa que debe considerar es poner el archivo html en el mismo directorio que la imagen generada por pixCat o en la carpeta fuente (pixCat guarda la imagen generada en el la carpeta fuente si presiona la luz verde).
- Optional HTML file: If you want pixCat to generate a HTML file to see your catalog on your favorite browser, or to create a web catalog, choose this option. When you activate the HTML box, two fields are also activated, one is the name of the HTML file and the other is the relative path. In the relative path field you can write the path to the pictures, if they're not in the same folder than the HTML file. If you have the registered version, pixCat can solve the relative path for you. ie: if the HTML file is in a folder whose name is "pixCat catalog" and the pictures and in other folder, inside the pixCat catalog folder, whose name is "res", the relative path will be "res". You don't have to write the final "/" (slash) to indicate it's a folder. If the pictures and the HTML file are in the same folder, leave this in blank.
NOTE: If you want the html web-ready, the relative path should be the one of the server, not the one in your hard disk. Another thing you should consider is to put the html file and the catalogue picture in the same folder or in the source folder (pixCat saves the cataloge picture in the source folder if you press the green light).
- Choosing a source folder: This is the last step, becouse right after you choose a source folder, pixCat begins to work. To choose a source folder, click the "Go!" button that's located in the lower right corner.

Acerca de este release
Esta version de PixCat es beta, por lo que puede tener bugs y otros males. Usese bajo su propio riesgo.
Requerimientos minimos

Usando pixCat
pixCat esta diseûado para que su uso sea intuitivo, pero si tiene dudas acerca de alguna funcion en especial de pixCat, puede leer este pequeûo manual.

- Eligiendo carpeta fuente: Este el ultimo paso que se debe hacer, porque inmediatamente despues de haber elegido la carpeta fuente, pixCat comienza a trabajar. Para elegir la carpeta fuente, presione el botùn "Go!" que se encuentra en la esquina inferior derecha.
