  35. The abacus was digitally photographed using a SciTex back plane. With MrSID, the
  36. input image to the compressor can be virtually any size. This means you can capture 
  37. digital photographs at the highest resolution possible with your imaging system 
  38. and compress them to a manageable size without a noticeable loss of image quality.
  39. Even better, since MrSID is naturally multi-resolution, you can easily "show" your
  40. products at high resolutions across the Internet or convert them back to a TIFF
  41. format to support other applications without going back to the source TIFF.
