ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. The Register dialog ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Smalled Registration
The Smalled registration dialog must be used if you want to use Smalled after
the initial 30 day trial period. Through this dialog you're able to generate a
personal key which is needed to obtain a registration key which is needed to
register Smalled
Through this registration key you're able to unlock the Smalled 30 day
Save/Print lockup. If you've bought a registration key ($18), future 1.xx
versions of Smalled will also be available to you. These future 1.xx versions
will notice you've registered, so there's no 30 day lockup. If a valid
registration key is entered, the register button will become available. If this
button is pressed, Smalled will store the register information and make Smalled
and future 1.xx versions of Smalled available.
To create a personal key, your first and last name (or company name) must be
entered in the personal information fields. The key will only be generated if
both fields are filled. You'll know register thinks valid information is
entered if the OK button becomes available. If this button is pressed, The
registration program exits and you're personal information will be remembered.
Write down the personal key if you want to register Smalled.
In the registration dialog you can also see which version of Smalled you're
registering and how many times Smalled is started in the trial period. (Note: A
trial period is only valid for one version. If you don't like Smalled in it's
current form, you may try it again if a new release is out. A new 30 day trial
period will be granted if a new version is tried.)
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.1. Personal key ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The personal key is a 9-digit number that is generated from the personal
information you've entered plus some additional information. Through this key a
registration key can be generated. To register Smalled, you've got to enter
this key on the order form and a registration key will be send to you.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.2. Registration key ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The registration key is a nine-digit number that is generated by us (BMT Micro
or Bianchi software) by using a special program. It's this key that you buy
when you register Smalled
If you enter a registration key, you notice that ist's valid when the register
button becomes available. By pressing this button, Smalled will unlock and be
available after the initial 30 day trial period.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.3. Registering Smalled ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
If you like Smalled and want to keep using it, you have to buy a registration
key. This key will also make future versions available. One key gives the right
to use Smalled on one machine. (If you're a corporate user and want to obtain a
license for your company for more then 10 users, contact us, a discount can be
negotiated.
To order a key, fill in the order form contained in the smalled package and
mail or fax it to BMT micro or Bianchi Software. You may also buy a key by
using a credit card and E-mail if you register by BMT Micro.
For most people, buying long distance is a hassle, but of course it can be done
by using Snail mail (PTT post). (Bianchi software accepts any currency through
Snail mail as long as it's worth 18 US $.) If you've bought a registration-key,
your personal information will be placed on a user list.
If you've got a E-mail nr, the registration key will be mailed to you as soon
as the money is in. If you don't have E-mail, you've got to have a little
patience, the keynumber will be mailed to you through snail mail. An E-mail nr
is something to consider because in the future, Smalled macro files etc will be
made available through E-mail as well as through internet.
New versions of Smalled will be made available through the internet on the
hobbes and BMT micro sites. This means that in little time (1 or 2 weeks) they
will be available on most OS/2 sites/BBSes.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.4. The OK button ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The OK button is only there to save the information entered to your system.
This button can be used to store the personal information entered. This may be
of importance because the register key will be derived from this information.
If you don't store this info, you may enter a different set of personal info
data at register time. In that case your registration key won't work. So use
this key to save the personal info before you get your registration key.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.5. The Register button ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The register button only becomes available when a valid personal key is
available and a valid registration key is entered. If register is pressed, the
registration information is stored in the OS2.INI file and Smalled will unlock.
