  7. 1. REQUIREMENTS

  9.     To use Phone Book 97, you need a machine (a 486 or higher),
  10.   as well as 8MB of memory and 2.5 MB of hard disk space.
  11.   Phone Book 97 will only work on Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0

  14. 2. RUNNING THE PROGRAM

  16.     Now, each time you want to start Phone Book 97, just double-
  17.   left-click on "Phone Book 97" or on the Phone Book 97 shortcut
  18.   in the Start Menu.

  21. 3. UNINSTALLATION

  23.     To uninstall Phone Book 97, run the 'Uninstall Phone Book 97'
  24.   item in your start menu. You can also simply delete the directory 
  25.   where you installed Phone Book 97.

  43. 5. NETWORK SUPPORT

  45.   Phone Book 97 now has basic networking support. You can put a 
  46.   shared directory, from which users will be able to open the 
  47.   Phone Book database. If this directory is shared as read-only,
  48.   then the user can only view the file, and saving will be 
  49.   prohibited. If the directory is shared as read/write (full 
  50.   control) then the user will be able to read and modify the
  51.   database. The downside is that other users won't be notified
  52.   that the phone book has been modified, it will be their job to
  53.   regularly re-open the database themselves.
