Text Editor is very easy to use. In fact, you probably already know how to use it. It is just like Text File Editor on the PC/GEOS Ensemble system, only better. The difference is Text Editor has a tool bar and has more features, such as the ability to choose different fonts and point sizes.
There's an on-line help file to explain anything you don't already know about the program, so you can probably go right ahead and start using it now.
Cross-Platform Differences
==========================
Because of the minor differences between the user interfaces of each GEOS device (desktop, Zoomer, OmniGo), the help file pages will not always be exact in specifying menu entry names and the like. So please forgive the mistakes in the help file. I did the best I could with the time I had.

Keep in mind, this is a shareware program. Blue Marsh Softworks and Nathan Fiedler are not liable for any damages caused by the use of Text Editor. The software is provided "as is" and there are no expressed warranties of software quality.
Installation
============
When installing over top of an older version of the Text Editor you will experience a problem with the toolbar in the new version. To fix the toolbar, just use the "Customize Toolbars" to fix the tools. This problem was unavoidable. Be sure to select "Save Configuration" once you've set up the toolbar.
For the desktop version of Text Editor, you will need to copy the help file, "texted ", to the GEOS20\USERDATA\HELP directory. The TEXTED.GEO file should be copied to GEOS20\WORLD.
For the Zoomer version, you will need some means of installing the software on the Zoomer. See the INSTALL.TXT file for details.
Source Code

The complete source code to this program is provided with this distribution. The files are named with the following extensions: .MK, .REV, .GP, .GOH, and .GOC. If you are not a programmer you can ignore files with those extensions.
