WELCOME TO MINICAD 7 FOR WINDOWS
IMPORTANT NOTE
MiniCAD supports QuickDraw 3D for both export and rendering. QuickDraw 3D must
be properly installed in order for MiniCAD to use it. Use the Setup program
in the QDinstal directory to install QuickDraw 3D. When QuickDraw 3D is installed
correctly, the Rendering submenu will show an option to use QuickDraw 3D.
Some of the support files on the CD use QuickTime for the animations. As with
QuickDraw 3D, QuickTime must be properly installed in order for the animations
to be seen. The installer for QuickTime is located in the QTime directory.
INSTALLATION
1. Install QuickDraw 3D.
Open the QDinstal directory. Double-click on the Setup icon and follow
the installation instructions.
2. Install QuickTime (optional)
Open the QTime directory. Double-click on the Qtinstal icon and follow
the installation instructions.
3. Install MiniCAD.
Open the MINICAD directory. Double-click on the Setup icon and follow
the installation instructions.
USING EXISTING MINICAD FILES:
Files created in the Macintosh version of MiniCAD can be edited with
the Windows version. Under Windows, a file must have the .mcd extension
for it to be seen as a MiniCAD file. Files created with the Windows
version will have the extension added automatically when the file is
named. Files created with the Macintosh version must have the extension
added manually.
HERE ARE THE CHANGES AND ADDITIONS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT:
-- The Tablet command in this version of MiniCad only supports tablets
that emulate a mouse.
-- The TrueType to Polyline command may not work as described for all
TrueType fonts.
