  1. WELCOME TO MINICAD 7 FOR WINDOWS
  2.  
  3. USING EXISTING MINICAD FILES:
  4. Files created in the Macintosh version of MiniCad can be edited with
  5. the Windows version. Under Windows, a file must have the .mcd extension 
  6. for it to be seen as a MiniCad file.  Files created with the Windows 
  7. version will have the extension added automatically when the file is 
  8. named. Files created with the Macintosh version must have the extension
  9. added manually.

  11. HERE ARE THE CHANGES AND ADDITIONS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT:
  12. -- We changed the dialog boxes throughout the program so that they are
  13. true Windows dialog boxes. As you'll see in the manuals, previously the
  14. dialog boxes were different. While the ordering of buttons is
  15. different in some dialog boxes, the names and functions of these
  16. buttons have not changed from those described in the manuals.
  17. -- The Tablet command in this version of MiniCad only supports tablets
  18. that emulate a mouse. 
  19. -- We added these import/export options: Import Metafile, Import
  20. Metafile as Picture, and Export Metafile.
  21. -- We renamed the Quit command, which is now called the Exit Command. 
  22. -- The TrueType to Polyline command may not work as described for all
  23. TrueType fonts.
