Introduction
============
Gravis WinDecks is a complete sound system that works on ANY UltraSound
card. It provides MIDI, WAV, MIXER, and CD Audio playback in Windows 3.1 and
Windows 95.
Installation
============
1) Run the SETUP.EXE program from the directory in which you unzippped the
into.
2) Follow the on-screen instructions to install software.
3) When you run WinDecks for the first time, make sure you press the
"Setup" button on the component bar, and check (in the check boxes
at the bottom of the dialog box) which components you wish to load
at startup. You can also change the order that the components are
displayed by selecting a component in the list and using the up and
down buttons. The setup dialog also allows you to set up various
options like locations of files, the default mixer device, etc.
Trouble Shooting
================
1) If a device (i.e. MIDI) doesn't work from WinDecks,
please confirm whether or not Media Player works or not.
Basically, if Media Player does it, WinDecks should also.
2) If a component appears to do something you don't expect (ie: You press
Play on the CD Player, and a MIDI file starts playing) check to see if
the Playlist button is turned on. Remember that when the rack is in
Playlist mode, all of the transport controls control the Playlist, not
the individual component. To access the individual component, turn off
the Playlist mode.
