  11. This is the 4th of 6 files required to obtain the complete NetWare Client for
  12. Dos/MS Windows v1.21.(VLMs) This product currently ships with IntranetWare and
  13. NetWare v4.11. This version (v1.21) replaces all previous versions of the VLMs.
  14. These files may be used to create a client installation area on a NetWare
  15. Server,  a local hard drive or to make client installation diskettes.. The
  16. following files are required in order to download the complete client:
  17. VLM121_1.EXE, VLM121_2.EXE, VLM121_3.EXE, VLM121_4.EXE, VLM121_5.EXE,
  18. VLM121_6.EXE.

  30. ISSUE:

  32. This client kit replaces the previous client kit (VLMKT[1-5].EXE) as well as
  33. the VLM patch files, (VLMUP4.EXE and WINDR3.EXE). It supercedes all version
  34. 1.20x clients.
  35.  
  36.  This is the 4th of 6 files required to obtain the complete NetWare Client for
  37. Dos/MS Windows v1.21.(VLMs) This product currently ships with IntranetWare and
  38. NetWare v4.11. This version (v1.21) replaces all previous versions of the VLMs.

  161. PROCEDURE:

  163.  UPGRADING THE CLIENT KIT ON A 4.x SERVER:
  164.        1. Extract all files into the same directory. Extract the files by
  165. typing VLM121_[1-6].EXE [path of directory to extract to]
  166.  
  167.       Example:  VLM121_1.EXE F:\PUBLIC\CLIENT\DOSWIN
  168.  
  169.  UPGRADING THE  WORKSTATION FROM THE FILESERVER:
  170.       1. Login the workstation and map a drive to the directory that you put
  171. the Client Kit in. Next, change to that drive and type INSTALL.EXE. Then follow
  172. the instruction in the installation program.
  173.  
  174.  MAKING CLIENT DISKETTES: 
  175.  If you desire a set of diskettes, follow the steps below.
  176.       1. Attach a label to each formatted ( 3.5", 1.44MB ) diskette and write
  177. the following on the corresponding labels.

  179.  Disk1: NetWare Client for DOS/MS Windows Disk1 (VLM121_1.EXE)
  180.  Disk2: NetWare Client for DOS/MS Windows Disk2 (VLM121_2.EXE)
  181.  Disk3: NetWare Client for DOS/MS Windows Disk3 (VLM121_3.EXE)
  182.  Disk4: NetWare Client for DOS/MS Windows Disk4 (VLM121_4.EXE)
  183.  Disk5: NetWare Client for DOS/MS Windows Disk5 (VLM121_5.EXE)
  184.  Disk6: NetWare Client for DOS/MS Windows Disk6 (VLM121_6.EXE)

  186.       2. Extract the files to the formatted ( 3.5", 1.44MB ) floppies, to  A:
  187. or the drive letter that is the 3.5" floppy. 
  188.        For example:  VLM121_1.EXE A:<ENTER>
  189.  
  190.  3. To install using these prepared diskettes, boot the DOS/MS Windows
  191. workstation and insert Disk1. Change to the floppy drive and type INSTALL.
  192.       For example: A: <ENTER>
  193.       INTALL <ENTER>
  194.       Follow the instructions in the installation program.
