  2. I. 1st time installation
  3.  
  4.    1. Install Windows 95 System
  5.    2. Create a DOS prompt
  6.    3. chang directory to win95 system directory\inf
  7.         example: cd \windows\inf
  8.    4. EDIT "MSHDC.INF" file
  9.    5. find [BAD_IDE] section
  10.    6. add following statement in [BAD_IDE] sections
  11.       [BAD_IDE]
  12.       copyfiles=@esdi_506.pdr
  13.  
  14.    7. save MSHDC.INF file and exit DOS prompt
  15.  
  16.    8. Open "Control Panel"
  17.    9. Open "System" and Slect "Device Manager"
  18.   10. Select "Hard disk controllers"
  19.   11. double click on "Standard ESDI IDE Controller"
  20.   12. Click on "Driver"
  21.   13. Click on "Change driver"
  22.   14. Click on "Have disk"
  23.   15. Change source path to "A:\win95"
  24.   16. Click on "OK"
  25.   17. Click on "OK"
  26.   18. Click on "No"    //restart pc yes/no?//
  27.   19. repeat step 10 to step 13 once more
  28.   20. select "Winbond VL-IDE Controller(WB759AF)"
  29.   21. Click on "OK"
  30.   22. Click on "OK"
  31.   23. Click on "CLOSE"
  32.   23. Click on "Yes"   //restart pc yes/no?//
  33.   24. Shutdown the computer and reboot
  34.  
  35. ====> After successful reboot
  36.    Check if the Hard Disk Controller under device manager contain correct information for
  37.    for WB759AF driver.

  39. II. Driver update
  40.  
  41.    1. Enter "Device Manager"
  42.    2. Select "Hard disk controllers"
  43.    3. double click on "Winbond VL-IDE Controller(WB759AF)"
  44.    4. Click on "driver"
  45.    5. Click on "Change driver"
  46.    6. Click on "Have disk"
  47.    7. Change source path to "A:\win95"
  48.    8. Click on "OK"
