  1. 1000    Welcome to the InControl Tools 95 Monitor Wizard.

  3. 1002    You have arrived at the Monitor wizard because
  4. 1003    your Monitor is not among those listed in the
  5. 1004    'Change Display Type' dialog.
  6. 1005     
  7. 1006    We will assist you in determining the capabilities
  8. 1007    of your monitor. Your monitor owner's manual will
  9. 1008    be useful during this process. However, if you don't
  10. 1009    have it don't worry. We will just work a little harder
  11. 1010    for you.

  13. 1012    If you are ready to begin click Next.
  14. 1013     
  15. 1040    In order to determine your monitor's capabilities we are
  16. 1041    going to apply various operating settings to your monitor.
  17. 1042    Each setting will cause your screen to flicker momentarily
  18. 1043    after which we will reapply your original monitor settings.
  19. 1044     
  20. 1045    If you have never been through this process we 
  21. 1046    recommend the 'Minimal' or 'Typical' monitor setup, 
  22. 1047    otherwise choose 'Custom'.
  23. 1048     
  24. 1050        Determines which modes your monitor
  25. 1051        supports at a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
  26. 1053        Determines which modes your monitor
  27. 1054        supports at the highest refresh rate.
  28. 1056        Allows you to select your own mode
  29. 1057        and refresh rate combination.
  30. 1080    The wizard will start testing the monitor when you are
  31. 1081    ready. You will see the screen flicker momentarily for 
  32. 1082    each setting. The wizard will ask you if the screen looks
  33. 1083    normal and stable. If the screen doesn't look normal just
  34. 1084    wait a few seconds and a new setting will be attempted.

  37. 1120    The wizard will test your monitor when you are ready. The
  38. 1121    screen may flicker momentarily for each setting. The Wizard 
  39. 1122    will ask you if the screen looks normal. If it doesn't look
  40. 1123    normal wait a moment and a new setting will be attempted.

  42. 1125    This test may take 6 or 7 minutes to complete.

  44. 1160    You may select the modes to be tested( either one at a 
  45. 1161    time or several at once). After you have made your selection
  46. 1162    just press the 'Begin Testing' button. The modes which
  47. 1163    are valid for your monitor will be marked with '>>' .
