  48. -Because Cirrus Logic did not receive a full functional notebook system
  49.  at the time of this software release, QA cannot verify any features that
  50.  require interaction between the system BIOS nad the VGA system.

  53. Problems Fixed from release 2.10 to 2.10a

  56. -When select refresh rate from panel only or SimulSCAN, display type is
  57.  switched to CRT only. PDR#3336

  59. Known Problems
  60. ==============

  62. -In some APM implementation, hot-key switching display may cause a blank 
  63.  panel screen.
  64.  
  65. -In 800x600 64k colors, user is able to set new monitor refresh but the 
  66.  new refresh does not take effect.
  67.  
  68. -Changing from 640x480 or 800x600 256 colors modes to 1024x768 256 color
  69.  results in desktop background pattern being duplicated on right and bottom 
  70.  screen in CRT only mode.
  71.  
  72. -If a windowed DOS prompt is open in any non-TV display mode, switching to
  73.  TV causes a display corrruption.

  76. Win95 Driver limitation
  77. =======================
  78.  
  79. -In TV mode, open any application shows that bottom of the application is
  80.  chopped off because TV uses 640x400 resolution mode. 
  81.  
  82. -Switching from any non-TV display type to TV requires Win95 to restart.
  83.  This is by design.

  85. -In TV mode, the Win95 logo screen got shifted down because TV uses 640x400
  86.  resolution mode.

  89. How to Install 754X Win95 Driver
  90. ================================
  91.  
  92. 1.  Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
  93.     Control Panel.
  94. 2.  Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
  95.     Display Properties folder and select the Settings tab (right most tab).
  96. 3.  Choose the "Change Display Type..." button and click the "Change..." 
  97.     button in the Adapter Type group.
  98. 4.  Select the "Have Disk..." button and then insert the 754X WIN95 Driver 
  99.     Installation diskette into the floppy drive A: or B: and proceed with 
  100.     OK button.
  101. 5.  "Cirrus Logic 754X (Cirrus)" will be highlighted for a VLB system or 
  102.     select "Cirrus Logic 754X PCI (Cirrus)" for PCI system.
  103. 6. Press OK and files are being copied from the diskette to your computer.
  104. 7. If a "Version Conflict" dialog box pops up and asks "Do you want to keep
  105.    this file?", answer "No".
  106. 8. Press Close again to exit Display Properties folder.
  107. 9. Select Yes to restart computer before the new driver will take effect.

  110. How to change colordepth
  111. ========================

  113. 1. Make sure you have installed the Cirrus Logic 754X Win 95' driver (see
  114.    How to Install 754X Win95 Driver section above).
  115. 2. Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
  116.    Control Panel.
  117. 3. Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
  118.    Display Properties folder and select the Settings tab.
  119. 4. Click on the pull-down arrow from the Color palette area to select color
  120.    depth.
  121. 5. Choose OK to restart Win95.

  123. How to change resolution
  124. ========================

  126. 1. Make sure you have installed the Cirrus Logic 754X Win 95' driver (see
  127.    How to Install 754X Win95 Driver section above).
  128. 2. Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
  129.    Control Panel.
  130. 3. Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
  131.    Display Properties folder and select the Settings tab.
  132. 4. Ajust the sliding bar either to Less or More from the Desktop area.
  133. 5. Choose OK and new resolution will take effect.

  136. How to change monitor refresh rate and display type

  139. 1. Make sure you have installed the Cirrus Logic 754X Win 95' driver (see
  140.    How to Install 754X Win95 Driver section above).
  141. 2. Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
  142.    Control Panel.
  143. 3. Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
  144.    Display Properties folder and select the Refresh tab.
  145. 4. You can change to different refresh rates for different resolution and/or 
  146.    switching to different display type in the Active display area.
