  9. This README.TXT file contains a description of CyberSky, system 
  10. requirements, installation and uninstallation instructions, registration 
  11. information, and product support information.

  17. CyberSky is a colorful, easy-to-use, and very educational program that 
  18. transforms your computer screen into a planetarium, allowing you to 
  19. learn about astronomy by exploring the sky in the past, present, and 
  20. future!

  22. CyberSky can truly be thought of as a desktop planetarium, because it 
  23. duplicates the features of a traditional planetarium on your computer 
  24. screen. CyberSky provides an excellent way for you to learn the names 
  25. and locations of the constellations, the names of the stars, and to 
  26. become familiar with the motions of the sun, moon, and planets across 
  27. the sky. CyberSky provides a superb, innovative, and motivating learning 
  28. environment. It places the sky under your control.

  30. If you've already learned these basics, CyberSky is a great way to 
  31. conveniently check out "what's up" tonight without leaving your desk. 
  32. Or, use it to find out what you'll be able to see next weekend, or next 
  33. month. Some people use CyberSky to learn to identify the stars and 
  34. constellations they'll be able to see for the first time when they take 
  35. a vacation to another hemisphere. And, don't forget the past! What did 
  36. the sky look like on the day you were born?

  38. One of CyberSky's most powerful and educational features is its ability 
  39. to animate the display, allowing you to see "movies" of the changing 
  40. appearance of the sky over time. Many of the most basic and interesting 
  41. astronomical phenomena can only be observed over days or months of time, 
  42. or by observing the sky in the distant past or future. CyberSky 
  43. compresses these time spans into minutes, thereby allowing you to learn 
  44. things about astronomy that previously would have required days or weeks 
  45. of stargazing or a trip to a planetarium to learn.

  51. System Requirements

  54. Personal computer running Windows 95, a 486 or faster processor, 8 MB of 
  55. memory, about 2 MB of disk space, a video card capable of displaying 256 
  56. or more colors, and a Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device.

  59. Installing CyberSky
  60. -------------------

  62. Run the SETUP.EXE program provided with the CyberSky package you 
  63. received. Follow the instructions to install CyberSky on your computer.

  65. If you already have an older version of CyberSky installed on your 
  66. computer, I strongly recommend that you uninstall that version before 
  67. you install the newer version. This will remove unnecessary files from 
  68. your computer and unnecessary icons from the Start menu.

  71. Uninstalling CyberSky
  72. ---------------------

  74. Run the "Uninstall CyberSky" program found on the Start menu under 
  75. "CyberSky". Follow the instructions to completely remove CyberSky from 
  76. your computer.

  82. A single copy of the registered version of CyberSky costs US$ 25 plus 
  83. US$ 3 for shipping & handling. Site licenses are available for educational 
  84. institutions at very reasonable prices! Complete information about
