  1. Uninstall Instructions for Ancient Ivory
  2. ----------------------------------------

  4. PLEASE NOTE:  If you are installing the registered version
  5. of "Ancient Ivory" you do NOT need to uninstall the
  6. shareware version first.  The "Ancient Ivory" install
  7. program will copy over your old files and program icons with
  8. new ones.
  9.  
  10. Uninstalling "Ancient Ivory" from your hard drive is 
  11. simple.  There are two main steps: 1)  deleting the program 
  12. files from your hard drive and 2) deleting the program icon.
  13. The Windows registry is NOT modified by installing this program.

  15. A)  UNINSTALLING THE PROGRAM FOR WINDOWS 95
  16.  
  17.     1.  Delete the program files from your hard drive
  18.         a.  Click on Start/Programs/Microsoft Explorer.
  19.                 Click once on "Ivory" to highlight it, not on 
  20.                 the + to the left of it.  Select "Delete" from the 
  21.                 "File" menu.
  22.          b.  When you are sure you no longer want these files
  23.                 double-click on the Recycle Bin on your desktop,
  24.                 and select "Empty Recycle Bin" from the "File" menu.
  25.     2.  Remove the program and group from the Start Menu Programs
  26.         a.  Click on Start/Settings/Taskbar.  Select the
  27.                 "Start Menu Programs" tab.  Click "Remove" and click
  28.                 on "Ancient Ivory", to highlight it.  Do not 
  29.         click on the + to the left of it.  If you did, now
  30.         click on the - to the left of it.  Click "Remove."
  31.     3.  Your uninstall is complete.

  35. B)  UNINSTALLING THE PROGRAM FOR WINDOWS 3.1
  36.  
  37.     1.  Delete the program files from your hard drive
  38.             a.  From Windows, double-click on the "Main" group.
  39.                 Then double-click on "File Manager."  Find the
  40.                 directory where the Ancient Ivory files are.
  41.                 If you used the default when installing the
  42.                 program, the directories will be in:
  43.                         c:\ivory
  44.                 (See "FINDING YOUR PROGRAM FILES" below if you have
  45.                 difficulty locating your program files.)
  46.             b.  Highlight the c:\ivory directory.  Do this by first
  47.                 clicking on the "C" near the top of the inner window
  48.                 of the File Manager.  Click once on "IVORY."  You
  49.                 may need to scroll down the list of directories to do so.
  50.             c.  When "IVORY" is highlighted, press the Delete key
  51.                 (or select File/Delete).  You will see a dialog boc
  52.                 asking if you wish to Delete C:\IVORY?  Click on ok.
  53.                 Then you will see two more dialog boxes.  Click on
  54.                 "Yes to All" in response to both of those dialog boxes.
  55.         2.  Delete the program group and program icon
  56.             a.  From Windows, click just ONCE on the Ancient Ivory
  57.                 icon.  If you see a pop-up menu above the
  58.                 Ancient Ivory icon, click anywhere else on
  59.                 the screen to close the menu.
  60.             b.  When the Ancient Ivory icon is highlighted,
  61.                 press the Delete key (or select File/Delete).  You
  62.                 will be asked "Are you sure you want to delete the
  63.                 group "Ancient Ivory"?  Click on "Yes."
  64.     3.  Your uninstall is complete.

  68. FINDING YOUR PROGRAM FILES
  69.  
  70. There is a quick way to determine where your program files are
  71. located on your hard drive.  In Windows, double-click on
  72. the Roxie's Reading Fish group to open the group.  Then click
  73. just once on the "Ancient Ivory" icon.  From the "File"
  74. menu select "Properties."  Under working directory you will see
  75. the directory where the program files are located.
