  1. Halatafl -- The Fox Game v1.0s is a shareware version of the ancient Viking
  2. game of Fox and Geese, played from before 1000 AD. by the Icelandic Vikings,
  3. which spread to all of northern Europe and became one of the most popular
  4. 'Hunt' games of medieval times.  Stunning images, great game-play, 
  5. excellent MIDI background music, and fun game sounds -- all very authentic.
  6. Learn about the Vikings as you play!  Fun and educational at the same time!
  7. BUT are you good enough to beat the little Viking girl Gudrun at her own game?
  8. Requires VBRUN300.DLL to play.

  29. Halatafl is written in Visual Basic 3.0.   As such it
  30. requires that VBRUN300.DLL exists in your Windows System directory.

  45. To install Halatafl, please do the following:
  46.  
  47. 1. Check that VBRUN300.DLL is in your Windows System directory.  If not,
  48.    please download a copy (there should be a copy on the BBS from which
  49.    you downloaded HALATAFL.ZIP).
  50.  
  51. 2. Create a directory HALATAFL.
  52.  
  53. 3. Copy all the files 'unzipped' from HALATAFL.ZIP 
  54.    to this new HALATAFL directory.
  55.  
  56. 4. Create a program manager icon for SFG.EXE by adding it as a file
  57.    in your GAMES program manager group.
  58.  
  59. That's it.
