  75. IMPORTANT NOTE: Exile has limited compatability with certain
  76. third party sound cards. Should Exile start crashing,
  77. select Older Machine from the options menu for crash
  78. protection. If this doesn't help, turning off the sound
  79. should prevent problems.

  190. Troubleshooting:

  192. Exile is a large, elaborate game, and Windows can occasionally
  193. be a delicate operating system. If you're having troubles with
  194. Exile crashing, take the following steps.
  195. 1. Select Older Machine from the Options menu.
  196. 2. Turn the sound off altogether.
  197. 3. Don't change the volume on your sound card while playing
  198.    Exile.
  199. 4. If using Windows 95, turn off the disk compression,
  200.    checking, and maintenance utilities while playing Exile.
  201.  
  202. Exile will change the colors in the other Windows while it
  203. runs - this is an unfortunate side effect of using 256 colors.
  204.  
  205. Exile has proven to be a very stable and reliable game, in general.
  206. Taking these steps should make Exile run safely. If not,
