  28.   (1) Make sure you have the Windows 3.1 version of the disk 
  29.       (check the label), or have downloaded the self-extracting file
  30.       "bbat31.exe".

  32.   (2) Close other applications.

  34.   (3) If you have the disk version, run the "setup.exe" program on the
  35.       disk using the Program Manager's "Run" command.  The "Run" command
  36.       can be found under the Program Manager's Files Menu.

  38.       If you have downloaded the self-extracting file, you will find 
  39.       "setup.exe" in the directory where extracted the Black Bat Rummy
  40.       files reside.

  42.   (4) Follow the on-screen directions during setup.

  48.   A Windows 95 specific version of Black Bat Rummy should soon be avail-
  49.   able (already perhaps?).  Seek out the self-extracting file "bbat95.exe".
  50.   The Windows 3.1 version will install and run under Windows 95, but may,
  51.   under some circumstances, incorrectly update the background of the game
  52.   window.

  54.   Black Bat Rummy is untested under OS/2 and other Windows environments.

  64.   When Black Bat Rummy is successfully installed, an "Uninstall" Icon
  65.   will be created in the same program group as the Black Bat Rummy Icon.
  66.   Double-click this icon to remove the game from your system.  You may, 
  67.   during setup, elect to not install icons for the program.  If this is 
  68.   the case, simply run "uninstal.exe" in the directory where Black Bat
  69.   Rummy resides.

  71.   Note:  If other files have been created in Black Bat Rummy's home 
  72.          directory, they will not be deleted during the automatic
  73.          deinstallation.  For example, "blackbat.gid", a file created
  74.          by Window's "winhelp.exe" program, must be deleted manually.

  80.   Since Black Bat Rummy does not alter system configuration or ".ini" 
  81.   files, you can manually remove all program components by:

  83.      (1) deleting the contents of the directory where the program's

  86.      (2) deleting the directory itself;

  88.      (3) deleting the Black Bat group/icons.

  94.   If you have downloaded the self-extracting version of the game, and
  95.   have extracted the setup files into a directory on your hard drive,
  96.   then those originally extracted files will remain on your system after
  97.   following the uninstall procedures described above.  The self-extracting
  98.   file and the files contained within it must be deleted manually.

  105.   Like all game programs involving animation, Black Bat Rummy
  106.   likes to have the computer all to itself!  To assure smooth animation,
  107.   the processor is monopolized during the computer's tile manipulations.
  108.   For best results, pause the game before starting other applications.

  115.   Black Bat Rummy is a shareware program and is provided for your 
  116.   evaluation at no charge.  Share it with your friends, but please 
  117.   do not give it away altered, crippled, or as part of another system.

  119.   If, after a reasonable trial period, you continue to play the game,
  120.   please send a registration payment of $15.00 to the author.

  125.       (1) All registered users will receive a copy of the latest 
  126.           version of the Black Bat Rummy game.

  128.       (2) You will receive a registration code entitling you to
  129.           upgraded versions of Black Bat Rummy, up until (but not
  130.           including) the next major release. Major releases will be
  131.           numbered in whole numbers (e.g. v2.0).  Minor upgrades,
  132.           numbered in .10 increments, will be free of charge to 
  133.           registered users.
