  3. VidFun is distributed AS IS.  Any expressed or implied
  4. warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties
  5. of merchantability and fitness for ANY use or purpose
  6. are specifically disclaimed.  In no event shall the
  7. author be liable for ANY loss of profit or damage
  8. including, but not limited to special, consequential,
  9. incidental, or other damages.

  11. LICENSING AGREEMENT

  13. You may try VidFun for 10 days; thereafter, you MUST
  14. register.  Registered users receive a personal key 
  15. (i.e., serial number), technical support, and latest
  16. version, if available.

  18. ENABLING YOUR PERSONAL KEY
  19. -------------------------------------------------
  20. 1. Run VidFun and select File|User Key from menu.
  21. 2. Enter your registered name and personal key
  22.    (printed on disk or provided via Email).
  23. 3. Exit and restart VidFun.

  25. SHAREWARE REGISTRATION
  26. -------------------------------------------------
  27. 1. Select Help-Registering VidFun from Main menu.
  28. 2. Complete the automated registration form 
  29.    or print the Help file topic.
  30. 3. Send your registration form and fee.

  32. CompuServe subscribers can GO SWREG and 
  33. register # 6583.

  35. After registration is received, a personal key is
  36. provided that is valid for all VidFun 2.x versions;
  37. in appreciation, the latest available version is
  38. sent to you with a tech support phone number.
  39.  
  40. This key is linked to your registered name and can be
  41. used on single personal computer or workstation
  42. which is not a server.  Another key is required for
  43. use on another personal computer or workstation.
  44. VidFun is 100% functional (no crippled functions); as
  45. such, the key is the only difference between being 
  46. registered and unregistered.  Please DO NOT 
  47. disclose your key to anyone.

  49. Since the key is valid for all 2.x versions, we will
  50. update 'at will'.  With your support, updates will
  51. include more multimedia devices/features and file
  52. formats, exotic image processing, scanning processes
  53. (e.g., descreen)... and eventually full hypermedia 
  54. authoring.  Support the Shareware Concept and we'll
  55. develop this product (and others) like nothing seen
  56. commercially ... otherwise, it will simply die from
  57. lack of support.

  60. SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTION

  62. VidFun 2.0 is compressed in a convenient, self-
  63. installing/extracting archive.   You are encouraged to
  64. copy and distribute the archive to all your friends, as
  65. well as upload to various online services.

  67. Shareware Distributors that charge a nominal fee for
  68. media reproduction and distribution may copy and 
  69. distribute in accordance with recognized Users Group
  70. and/or Association of Shareware Professionals 
  71. guidelines.

  73. BBS/upload versions do not include VBRUN300.DLL;
  74. please copy VBRUN300.DLL somewhere on your 
  75. distributed media as a convenience to new users.
  76. As indicated during setup, you must explicity agree to
  77. and optionally state VidFun's disclaimer (see top 
  78. section) on your distributed media.

  80. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE IS THE COMPRESSED 
  81. ARCHIVE (e.g., VIDFUN20.EXE) TO BE MODIFIED.

  83. The self-extracting archive is ZIP-compatible and can
  84. be tested with ZIP utilities.  Online services requiring 
  85. ZIP files may ADD the self-extracting archive to a ZIP
  86. archive (or TAR, ARJ, ...) and include a README 
  87. (or equivalent) file stating anti-virus software used
  88. to verify archive or Shareware Distributor contact info
  89. (e.g., BBS phone, Address, Web site...); NO OTHER 
  90. ADDITION TO THE ARCHIVE IS PERMITTED.
