  8. A Notice To EasyCD2 Users
  9. -------------------------

  11. These notes are intended for registered and unregistered
  12. users of prior versions of EasyCD2. They do not apply to
  13. you if you are a new user and have never used a prior
  14. version.
  15.  
  16. If you have submitted entries to be included in cddb using
  17. EasyCD2 version 2.00 or 2.10, it has been discovered by the
  18. cddb administrators that these prior versions of EasyCD2
  19. contained some very unfortunate bugs that have resulted in
  20. the inability to incorporate them into cddb.
  21.  
  22. Entries submitted to cddb using EasyCD2 version 2.20
  23. prior to the release of this patch release, version 2.21,
  24. will be retained and added into cddb.  However, due to a
  25. minor bug in version 2.20, future submissions will only be
  26. accepted from EasyCD2 version 2.21 and greater.

  28. I would like to personally ask all users of EasyCD2 versions
  29. 2.00 and 2.10 that have submitted new entries to cddb in the
  30. past to PLEASE re-submit those entries using this new
  31. version. When I initially integrated with cddb, I felt that
  32. it was important that I allowed users to help make cddb grow
  33. as opposed to only using it to retrieve information. I am
  34. very disappointed that EasyCD2 has not been able to
  35. contribute to the growth of cddb until now, so please
  36. re-submit your entries.

  38. ALL users of EasyCD2 versions 2.00 and 2.10 may upgrade to
  39. EasyCD2 version 2.21. Unregistered users will be given the
  40. full 30 days to evaluate the new version. Registered users
  41. should receive notification by e-mail on how and where to
  42. obtain the registered version of EasyCD2 v2.21. If you have
  43. not received your notification, please contact me at
  44. leichner@ix.netcom.com.

  46. I sincerely apologize for any inconveniences that the
  47. errors in previous versions of EasyCD2 may have caused
  48. you and ask you again to PLEASE re-submit any entries you
  49. have submitted using versions 2.00 and 2.10.
