CD-Runner Setup - Advanced
The CD-Runner Setup - Advanced section contains advanced CD-Runner options
and features.
PASSWORD PROTECTION
If desired, you may enter a CD-Runner password. If this
password is enabled, then CD-Runner will display a password entry box when
the user attempts to exit CD-Runner (to Windows), or to access any of the
Library or CD-Runner Setup sections. This is primarily intended for novice
computer users (e.g. children) who may be sharing a computer with a power
user who likes to have his/her system remain in the state last seen (without
Windows applications moved, changed, deleted, etc.).
If you wish to lock out the CD-Runner setup & libraries but allow access to
Windows, then simply leave the wallpaper "unlocked". This way the user may
click on the wallpaper directly to remove it (if it is enabled), and access
Windows.
The password entry box also includes a "shut-down" option. This option may be
selected without entering a correct password, and will close all active or
minimized Windows applications and files, and shut down your system. This will
allow the computer to be safely turned off without corrupting any open files,
etc..
See the Miscellaneous - Password Protection help for further information.
REMOTE VOLUME CONTROL - When playing an Audio CD or Media File, if enabled
the remote volume control popup box will appear when the Runner is minimized.
This popup box will appear as the topmost box (not hidden by other Windows
applications) and can be moved by clicking and dragging it to any desired
location. You may also control any of the track operations from the popup or
right click on it to eliminate it.
AUDIO CD/MEDIA RUNNER SELECTION BOX - a selection box (CD-Viewer / Media Viewer)
will appear when the title or description hotspots are clicked on the Runner
faceplates or when in the programming mode. You may click on any song or media
file listed in the viewer to directly jump to that track. You may enable or
disable this option by using the checkbox provided.

ENHANCED CD PROGRAM - use this option to specify a custom program application
to be used when running an enhanced CD. You may click the Browse button [...]
to search the CD-ROM for the program file.
