  112. AUDIO CD's? - FULL SUPPORT MEANS FULL CONTROL!

  114. For the first time playing CDs on your PC is easier and more fun than a
  115. portable player! Not only does CD-Runner present a real-life CD-player
  116. faceplate (with customizable colors and fonts for displaying the album
  117. name, artist, and song titles) - You can actually create you own multimedia
  118. music productions!

  120. In addition to the ability to easily link sound/music .wav or .mid files to
  121. any track or title launch, tiled windows enable the user to display bitmap
  122. (.bmp) graphics images (automatically resized by CD-Runner to SSVGA, SVGA,
  123. or VGA) either as wallpapers or as a full-screen slide show. Images may be
  124. timed to change or repeat at user-designated intervals according to tracks.
  125. Different sets of images may be displayed for each CD. In addition, tiled
  126. windows have been reserved for album jacket scans and liner notes that can
  127. be mouse-clicked to full screen for review while listening.

  129. Track Programming? CD-Runner can store up to fifty preprogrammed tracks per
  130. CD while displaying a running total of record/play time. During play, the
  131. CD-Runner faceplate LED displays times of programmed tracks played and
  132. remaining time. Shuffle mode and continuous play are also available as
  133. non-programmed features. Using one-touch autoplay, whenever CD-Runner is
  134. loaded (with a disc in the drive), or whenever a disc is changed -
  135. CD-Runner will automatically go full-screen and launch your pre-programmed
  136. multimedia show!

  138. Sound Control? CD-Runner has it - A punch-through faceplate icon brings up
  139. your system's sound control features (volume, balance, treble, bass) at any
  140. time. Want to multitask? Easy! In WIN 3.x CD-Runner can be minimized to a
  141. floating disc icon visible at all times. The phone rings? A click on the
  142. icon brings CD-Runner full screen for quick access to controls. In Windows
  143. 95, a remote mute/volume control is visible at all times. No more frantic
  144. hunting about for task-switchers.

  146. If you're using a voice modem, you'll find that on most models CD-Runner
  147. will automatically mute when voice connections are made. After calls are
  148. completed, the volume will return to its preset level.

  151. designed to be so user-friendly and intuitive that we don't think you'll
  152. even need instructions. On-board screen sensitive help is available at all

  159. CD-ROMs are now easier to run than ever. CD-Runner's automatic
  160. identify/install utility will guide you through the setup of new CD-ROM
  161. programs, and prompt you to enter them into the CD-ROM Library. After
  162. having installed a new CD-ROM you can remove its icons and program groups
  163. from Windows. From then on, CD-Runner will automatically identify the disc
  164. and launch it at a single touch.

  166. (Note: For using CD-ROMs already installed on your PC prior to CD-Runner,
  167. Use the CD-ROM Library option, and browse your Hard Drive/CD-ROM to locate
  168. the executable program.)

  170. Enabling auto-run automatically launches your pre-designated program as
  171. soon as CD-Runner is loaded. If multiple programs are on the same CD-ROM,
  172. or if you are using multiple CD-ROMs (CD-ROM changer or multiple Removable
  173. Drives), a simple search feature allows you to step through the different
  174. programs and applications.

  176. In the CD-ROM and Removable Disk library sections, you can add or edit any
  177. entries in the library database, and include associated icons, .wav or .mid
  178. files (sounds or music), user passwords, program titles, and descriptions
  179. for each CD-ROM or RD.

  182. desired CD-ROM.

  207. in the upper right-hand corner. (This is linked to your system's default 
  208. browser, or can be customized to any browser on your system in Setup.) One 
  209. click launches you to our Home Page for a quick check on upgrades and new 
  210. stuff. Then you're off to surf, with your music running in the background.
  211. Alternatively, you can directly access various features on our site via the
  212. Main Menu. Download upgrades, email us for Product Support, or Register 
  213. on-line. In the near future we'll be bringing the best in CD clubs and

  217. RD (REMOVABLE DRIVE/MEDIA) SUPPORT
  218.  
  219. Are your programs or data stored on removables? Removable Disk (RD) Runner
  220. runs CDR's, floppy disks, or any other removable media quickly and easily.
  221. Disks are automatically recognized based on their Volume Labels, and
  222. optionally run as CD-Runner is loaded. Multiple applications per disk may
  223. also be entered, and multiple removable drives (up to ten) may be
  224. configured. CD-Runner includes a new sophisticated search engine to locate
  225. applications on any CD-ROM in any drive and allow you to run them quickly
  226. and easily. The removable disk library allows you to password protect any
  227. application, or assign an icon/graphic, sound/music file, title, and
  228. description.

  230. AND SPEAKING OF PASSWORDS...
  231.  
  232. Password Protection - Part I: User passwords can be assigned to any type of
  233. disc or program. This feature is especially useful for controlling family
  234. entertainment packages, as well as protecting sensitive data on removable
  235. archive media.

  237. Password Protection - Part II: In order to prevent user access to the
  238. Windows environment (such as when children are using CD-ROM games)
  239. CD-Runner may be launched directly from the DOS command line. For example,
  240. including C:\CDRUNNER\cdrunner.exe at the end of autoexec.bat will launch
  241. CD-Runner directly while bypassing the Windows Program Manager. Users of
  242. Windows 95 may simply copy the CD-Runner shortcut icon to the Startup
  243. Group. As additional protection, exit from CD-Runner returning the user to
  244. Windows, configurations, and library setups may be blocked by a global
  245. password.

  247. MEDIA RUNNER
  248.  
  249. CD-Runner has the ability to link any .wav or .mid (sound or music) file to
  250. a title launch. For your convenience the Media Runner enables quick recording 
  251. and preview of sound files to choose from. Default storage directories 
  252. provide quick user access to stored files. Add pizzazz to program intros with 
  253. introductory song clips or pre-recorded instructions for using the program to 
  254. be launched. In addition, play any combination of movie, midi and/or wave file
  255. (AVI, MMM, MOV, MPG, MID, RMI, WAV).

  257. SYSTEM INFORMATION
  258.  
  259. Power-users ALWAYS need to know what's left in the gas tank. In the About
  260. section, a new System Info option shows detailed hardware/software
  261. information including free system resources.

  263. MULTIMEDIA LAPTOPS, PORTABLES, REMOTE SCREENS
  264.  
  265. Automatic Resolution/Font Adjustment is the answer. Internal calibration
  266. resets the graphics resolution and text spacing for whichever display
  267. environment you may be working in, without having to reconfigure when
  268. screens are changed. Usually, Windows resolutions of 640x480 (VGA) &
  269. 600x800 (Super-VGA) utilize small fonts , while resolutions of 1024x 768 or
  270. higher use the large font option. CD-Runner will automatically identify the
  271. font size being used by the video driver and adjust as required.

  275. SETUP - QUICK AND CLEAN
  276.  
  277. CD-Runner setup is quick, simple, and NON-INVASIVE! Simply run install.exe
  278. from the download Trialware file and CD-Runner will guide you through the
  279. setup and into your first Play Session. None of your startup (autoexec.bat,
  280. config.sys) or Windows configuration files (system.ini, win.ini) will be
  281. changed or edited in any way. After the Installation and Setup have
  282. finished running simply choose your drive letters and sound system (setup
  283. of the sound system is automatic in Windows 95!), and start playing audio
  284. CDs.
  285.  
  286. CD-ROM's, due to their complexity and lack of uniformity require library
  287. entry before first-time use. MS AutoPlay CD's require no setup at all.
  288. User options can be added as you go.
  289.  
  290. For software, this is as close to plug-and-play as possible today.
