Uninstall Instructions for Roxie's Reading Fish
-----------------------------------------------
PLEASE NOTE: If you are installing the registered version
of "Roxie's Reading Fish" you do NOT need to uninstall the
shareware version first. The "Roxie's Reading Fish" install
program will copy over your old files and program icons with
new ones.
Uninstalling "Roxie's Reading Fish" from your hard drive is
simple. There are two main steps: 1) deleting the program
icon from your windows desktop and 2) deleting the program
files from your hard drive.
However, you need to know first if "Roxie's Reading Fish"
is the only LatticeWork Software program installed. To do
this, in Windows, double-click on your LatticeWork Software
icon. If "Roxie's Reading Fish" is the only program item in
LatticeWork Software, go to A) Uninstalling the program and
the LatticeWork Software group. If, however, you have other
LatticeWork Software installed, and wish to uninstall only
"Roxie's Reading Fish", go to B) Uninstalling the program
but not the LatticeWork Software group.
A) UNINSTALLING THE PROGRAM AND THE LATTICEWORK SOFTWARE GROUP
1. Delete the program group and program icon
a. From Windows, click just ONCE on the LatticeWork
Software icon, to highlight it. Do not open the
group. You should see the LatticeWork Software
icon, but you should not see the "Roxie's Reading
Fish" Icon. If you see the "Roxie's Reading Fish"
icon, close the group by pressing Ctrl-F4. If
you see a pop-up menu above the LatticeWork
Software icon, click anywhere else on the screen
to close the menu.
b. When the LatticeWork Software icon is highlighted,
press the Delete key (or select File/Delete). You
will be asked "Are you sure you want to delete the
group 'LatticeWork Software'?" Click on 'Yes.'
2. Delete the program files from your hard drive
a. From Windows, double-click on the 'Main' group.
Then double-click on 'File Manager.' Find the
directory where the LatticeWork Software directories
exist. If you used the default when installing the
program, the directories will be in:
c:\lattice
b. Highlight the c:\lattice directory. Do this by first
clicking on the 'c' near the top of the inner window
of the File Manager. Click once on 'lattice.' You
may need to scroll down the list of directories to do so.
c. When 'lattice' is highlighted, press the Delete key
(or select File/Delete). You will see a dialog box
asking if you wish to Delete c:\lattice? Click on OK.
Then you will see two more dialog boxes. Click on
'Yes to All' in response to both of those dialog boxes.
3. Your uninstall is complete.
B) UNINSTALLING THE PROGRAM BUT NOT THE LATTICEWORK SOFTWARE GROUP
1. Delete the program icon
a. From Windows, double-click on the LatticeWork
Software icon, to open it. You should see the
"Roxie's Reading Fish" Icon. Click once on the
"Roxie's Reading Fish" icon to highlight it.
b. When the "Roxie's Reading Fish" icon is highlighted,
press the Delete key (or select File/Delete). You
will be asked "Are you sure you want to delete the
item 'Roxie's Reading Fish'?" Click on 'Yes.'
2. Delete the program files from your hard drive
a. From Windows, double-click on the 'Main' group.
Then double-click on 'File Manager.' Find the
directory where the "Roxie's Reading Fish" files
exist. If you used the default when installing the
program, the directories will be in:
c:\lattice\readfish
b. Highlight the c:\lattice\readfish directory. Do
this by first clicking on the 'c' near the top of
the inner window of the File Manager. You may need
to scroll down the list of directories in the c:
drive to do so. Double-click on 'lattice' to open
that directory. Then click once on 'readfish' to
highlight it.
c. When 'readfish' is highlighted, press the Delete key
(or select File/Delete). You will see a dialog box
asking if you wish to Delete c:\lattice\readfish?
Click on OK. Then you will see two more dialog
boxes. Click on 'Yes to All' in response to both
of those dialog boxes.
3. Your uninstall is complete.
