  13. Super Slots is the most realistic slot machine program on the market. that is a very
  14. graphically interactive program. The application will keep track of your score on
  15. each spin and keep a running tally of your winnings (or losses). The program has
  16. very realistic sound effects. Games in progress may be saved for later play. Dollar
  17. or .25 cent slots may be selected. Each spin has up to five chances to win. However,
  18. you may also incur greater losses.

  21. Requirements:

  23. - Windows 3.x

  25. - VBRUN300.DLL installed in your Windows or System directory. This file may already be
  26. in your system. Many other programs require this file. You may have received it already
  27. without knowing so. Otherwise, this file can be found almost anywhere where Windows
  28. software is available for downloading. Usually titled: VBRUN300.ZIP.

  33. - Run Install.exe using the RUN option from the file menu of Windows Program Manager or 
  34. double click on the Install.exe icon from the File Manager.

  36. - Follow the directions of the install program.

  39. Installation should have placed the following files in the identified directories:

  41. - sslots.exe in the install directory you specified.

  43. - sslots.txt in the same directory as the executable file.

  45. - All *.Wav files in the same directory as the executable file.

  59. Distribution:

  61. - Super Slots is distributed as Shareware. The Author maintains all rights to the
  62. program in its entirety.

  64. - Super Slots may be distributed freely as long as the integrity of Shareware is maintained.

  66. - In the tradition of Shareware, the author grants a 30 day trial period to the user to
  67. decide whether they want to keep the program. If so, a $10 donation is required. If not,
  68. then before the 30 days is up, you must delete the program from your system. Previous
  69. registered users may use this version free of charge.

  75. Because of the file structure of, users should take caution when changing and
  76. copying the files to a new directory from the original installation directory. Some 
  77. files are created using the original directory. Validated users may lose their validation 
  78. information. Validated users should write down their validation number in case they
  79. change directories.

  122. - This is a fix for v1.1. An invalid directory path was hardcoded into V1.1. This

  128. - Due to problems with previous versions and some video boards, the graphic of
  129. the slot machine is now in Windows BMP format vice RLE format. This should solve
  130. the problems with some video drivers that could not translate RLE format.

  136. - Added highlights to winning spins. Whenever a spin wins, the display windows
  137. will highlight indicating exactly which fruit combination have scored.

  139. - Removed the football wheels. It was taking too much memory to allow both
  140. options. The Las Vegas Wheels are more popular hence, the football wheels
  141. removal.

  143. - Removed the ability to set the delay time for the wheel spins. This feature
  144. did not seem to be very useful.

  146. - Added a clock display on the right side of the menu bar.

  148. - Added a buzzer sound capability to losing spins.
