User Read-me File for Text to Paper 1.0 <ASP> (Windows 3.1)
===========================================================
Thank you for evaluating Text to Paper!
Text to Paper was created to solve all your text printing
needs. Designed to handle files from most major
operating systems (including DOS, Windows, Mac, UNIX,
and Mainframes), it includes options for efficiently
processing plain text files, programming source code,
"print to file" output from DOS and UNIX applications,
redirected line printer output of mainframe applications,
as well as any text that can be placed on the Windows
clipboard.
Text to Paper includes an extensive and versatile array
of formatting options. In addition to the standard margin,
orientation, and font settings, it also includes settings
for:
N-up printing (multiple pages on each sheet)
Added edge margin for page binding or hole punching
Page borders
Alternate line shading
Headers on any page edge
Font fitting for specified page widths
Line spacing by #lines, measurement, or lines per page
Tab settings in characters or measurement
Character spacing adjustments
Word wrap
Line Numbers
and More!
Content based pagination provides a means to specify
conditions for page breaks, non-breaking paragraphs,
and line skipping that depend on the actual text contained
in the files.
Its "style" based formatting means that the formatting
options are determined automatically from the file
specification. Any number of user specified print styles
may be created, each associated with one or more file
specifications.
Print jobs allow multiple files to be managed as a group or
project and assigned to a specific printer. You may print
the entire job, selected files from the job, or only the
files that have changed since last printed. The formatting
options assigned to each file in the job can also be
individually overridden as needed.
Text to Paper also has limited command-line interface that
can be used to control the application from the command-line
or from within other applications that can start programs.
Here are some comments from Text to Paper's
Association of Shareware Professionals
reviewer Bob McElwain...

interesting and well executed."
"Very professional."
"The fact is, I didn't find anything to fault."

1) List of Files
The archive containing this file should have expanded into
the following files:
README.TXT This file.
VENDOR.TXT Information for shareware distributors.
FILE_ID.DIZ Standard shareware description file.
SETUP.EXE Setup/Installation program.
(also contains all program files)
------------------------------------------------------------
2) Installing/Uninstalling
To install Text to Paper run the SETUP.EXE program. This
program will allow you to select a target directory for the
installation. It will then install all the Text to Paper
application files to this directory and create a Program
Manager (Windows 3.1) or Start Menu (Windows 95) group.
To uninstall Text to Paper, run the TTP_ZAP.EXE program that
was installed to the Text to Paper directory specified
during the installation. This will remove all the files
installed by the setup routine and undo any configuration
changes made to your system. You are responsible for
removing any other files that you may have placed in the
Text to Paper directory and for removing the directory
itself.

3) Shareware info
TEXT TO PAPER is a "shareware program" and is provided at no
charge to the user for evaluation. The essence of
"user-supported" software is to provide personal computer
users with quality software without high prices, and yet to
provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop new
products. If you find this program useful and wish to
continue to use TEXT TO PAPER after the 30-day evaluation
period, you must make a registration payment to
