  3. I hope that you find NuMorse a useful tool for learning the code.

  5. NuMorse runs under Microsoft Windows 3.1

  17. INSTALLATION

  19. Here are some examples of how NuMorse can be installed.
  20.  
  21. a)   To install NuMorse from a floppy disk on drive A: insert the
  22.      install disk and then type: WIN A:INSTALL<ENT>.
  23.  
  24. b)   To install from directory C:\MYDIR type WIN C:\MYDIR\INSTALL<ENT>.
  25.  
  26. c)   In File manager get to the directory containing INSTALL.EXE and
  27.      double click on the INSTALL program item.
  28.

  30. When the INSTALL program starts up you will be given a chance to specify what
  31. directory the NuMorse system files will be placed in.
  32.  
  33. When installation is complete double click on the MORSE.WRI icon in the 
  34. MORSE program group to read the MORSE.WRI file which gives an overview and
  35. list of program features. The NuMorse help system is also a
  36. VERY comprehensive source of information.
  37.  
  38. You must use INSTALL to transfer the files from the installation disk, do NOT use COPY.
  39. This is because the files have been compressed to fit them on the distribution disk
  40. and will not be useable in compressed form. INSTALL automatically expands them as it
  41. copies them to your working directory.

  43. Here is a list of the files (in Microsoft COMPRESSed format) that INSTALL expects to
  44. find on the install disk or directory:

  46. MORSE.EX_       The executable program
  47. BWCC.DL_        Library
  48. README.TXT      This file
  49. LICENSE.TXT    Single user licence agreement.
  50. VENDOR.TXT    Information for software vendors.
  51. FILE_ID.DIZ    BBS information file.
  52. MORSE.WR_       An information file, readable by Windows Write.
  53. INSTALL.EXE     The installation program
  54. MORSE.HL_       Help file
  55. MORSEFON.FO_    Font file, modified ASCII+prosign characters
  56. *.TX_           There may be some sample code source files.
  57. *.WA_           These files are required to operate a sound board.
  58. TEMPLATE.TS_    Used by the test generator
  59. NUMORSE.TO_     Used by the QSO and test generator
  60. NUMORSE.PH_     Used by the QSO and test generator

  77. you so that you can decide if it suits your needs. If you find

  156. Users who register receive a security code (software key) which converts
  157. the unregistered version to a registered version.
