  2. A.  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  3.  
  4. MEN ON WOMEN/WOMEN ON MEN for Windows will work with any IBM or compatible PC
  5. running Windows 3.1 or Win 95 with a VGA graphics card and hard disk drive
  6. with about 2.7 megabytes of free disk space.  (An extra 1.5 megabytes is
  7. temporarily needed for installation.)

  10. B.  INSTALLATION OVERVIEW FOR A BBS DOWNLOAD

  12. Before you can use MEN ON WOMEN/WOMEN ON MEN for Windows you have to run the
  13. SETUP program from Window's Program Manager so it will work properly on your
  14. computer.  YOU CANNOT JUST COPY THE UNZIPPED FILES TO A DIRECTORY ON YOUR
  15. HARD DISK.  MWWMPACK.EXE is a self extracting archive.  The SETUP program
  16. will expand it; put files in their correct places; and optionally create a
  17. Windows Program Group.

  20. C.  INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
  21.  
  22. Although the program can be installed to any Target Directory on any Hard
  23. Disk Drive, the instructions below assume that you are using the default
  24. values of:
  25.  
  26.     Hard Disk Drive:    C:
  27.     Source Directory:    \DOWNLOAD  (Where the UnZipped Files are Located.)
  28.     Target Directory    \MENWOM25
  29.  
  30. If you use different values modify the instructions accordingly.

  32. We suggest that you Copy MENWOM25.ZIP to a floppy disk and save it as your
  33. backup copy before proceeding.
  34.  
  35. 1. The installation process is started by running SETUP.  Since SETUP is a
  36.    Windows application, you must start Windows (if you haven't already done
  37.    so), then select Files|Run from Program Manager's menu.  In the provided
  38.    text box type C:\DOWNLOAD\SETUP and click <OK>.*  (* Where "DOWNLOAD"
  39.    is the name of the directory containing the UnZipped files from
  40.    MENWOM25.ZIP.)

  42. 2. SETUP assumes you will install to C:\MENWOM25.  You will be given the
  43.    opportunity to change this assumption.  SETUP will also ask your
  44.    permission to create a MEN ON WOMEN/WOMEN ON MEN Program Group and
  45.    populate it with group files.  Unless you'd prefer to do this yourself,
  46.    we'd suggest you answer "Yes." **

  48. 3. The entire SETUP procedure takes about four minutes.  Much of that time
  49.    will be spent unpacking compressed files.  When SETUP is done, there
  50.    will be about a six second delay when nothing seems to be happening, and
  51.    then MEN ON WOMEN/WOMEN ON MEN will start to run.

  53. 4. After the program has run, you can delete all the MEN ON WOMEN/WOMEN ON
  54.    MEN files in the Download directory, such as MENWOM25.ZIP and
  55.    MWWMPACK.EXE.

  58.        **  Please wait three seconds before answering "Yes."  This dialog
  59.         will briefly flash on the screen before the files have been
  60.         unpacked.  Some 386 owners, with quick reflexes, have managed to
  61.         answer "Yes" before the files have been unpacked.  If you wait
  62.         three seconds, you're sure to answer "Yes" at the right time.
