  3. Thank you for evaluating this shareware version of LinkMate.
  4.  
  5. To install LinkMate you MUST run SETUP.EXE.  The Setup program will 
  6. guide you through the installation process.  If Setup needs to update
  7. system files, you may need to reboot your computer and run Setup 
  8. again.  Setup will inform you if this is the case.
  9.  
  10. NOTE:  You should NOT launch the Setup program from the Add/Remove
  11. Programs applet in Control Panel.  There is a bug in Add/Remove 
  12. Programs which prevents a successful installation on a small 
  13. percentage of systems.  It is HIGHLY recommended that you run Setup 
  14. by double-clicking SETUP.EXE from an Explorer window.

  16. Most users should not have any problems with the installation, but if
  17. you do, send email to mhdsoft@aol.com.  Please be as concise as 
  18. possible when describing your problem and state any error messages you
  19. get EXACTLY as they are displayed.  Limited technical support
  20. is provided to non-registered users so that they may thoroughly
  21. evaluate LinkMate.

  23. LinkMate is NOT compatible with Windows NT 3.51.  There is a known 
  24. incompatibility installing and running LinkMate on some NT 4.0 
  25. systems.  This is not a problem with Linkmate, per se, but an
  26. incompatibility with the COMCTL32.OCX custom control on certain NT 
  27. systems.  Obtaining and installing Service Pack 3 for NT 4.0
  28. should resolve any problems.  SP3 can be obtained from Microsoft's web
  29. site (http://www.microsoft.com), or more specifically from the 
  30. NT Support page (http://www.microsoft.com/NTWksSupport) but since URLs
  31. tend to change frequently, this address is not guaranteed.

  33. Before running LinkMate for the first time, it is strongly recommended
  34. that you open the LINKMATE.DOC file and read it.
