  1. Notes for At Home Photo Album

  3. To use At Home Photo Album, you must set your display 
  4. setting to either "high" or "true" color.  For some 
  5. graphics cards this is also stated as "32-bit", "24-bit", 
  6. "16-bit", "16.7 million colors", "65,000 colors".  A 
  7. "256-color" setting will result in unpredictable display 
  8. behavior.

  10. If you are unfamiliar with how to change the color 
  11. setting of your display, search Windows Help for 
  12. "colors|number of colors, changing."  Windows 95 help
  13. will step you through the process.  Some graphics cards 
  14. also have a software utility (or control panel) that is
  15. used to make these settings.  See the documentation for 
  16. your graphics card for this information.

  18. Email Notes:

  20. When Emailing a highly compressed image (i.e. the image
  21. was saved as "Not Bad" or "OK" using the image settings)
  22. the image should be emailed using the "Not Bad" or "OK" 
  23. send quality setting.  Using the "Excellent" or "Good" 
  24. send quality setting will result in a significantly 
  25. larger file being sent than that being stored.  Which will,
  26. of course, result in a longer send time.

  28. For best results of Emailed images, use either the "Good" 
  29. or "Excellent" setting to scan/import the image, and then
  30. use the "Not Bad" or "Good" send quality setting to Email the 
  31. image.  Note: evaluation edition preset for sending Email
  32. is "Not Bad".
