- ChemLab 1.1d requires Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 or Win3.x with Win32s (v1.3) to run.

- For Win3.x install Win32s (v1.3 or higher) prior to running ChemLab.

- Copy the file chemLab.zip into an empty directory on your hard disk.

- Unzip chemLab.zip in that directory.

- Windows NT or Windows 95 Installation (use Install Shield setup program):

- Then run setup.exe, which will install ChemLab and create a Program group called ChemLab.
- To run Chemlab go to the Start Menu, select the ChemLab program group and ChemLab application menu.

- Windows 3.1 with win32s Installation (further unzip chem11d.zip):

- Create a working directory for ChemLab (ex ChemLab)
- Unzip chem11d.zip in that directory (ChemLab will require about 1.24MB of disk space).
- Run chemlab.exe from windows

- Using ChemLab:
-
- 1. When ChemLab starts pick a simulation module to load from the simulation dialogbox.
- 2. Read the lab introduction in the introduction text window.
- 3. After reading the lab introduction read the procedure.
- 4. Select the procedure tab above the text window.
- 5. Then perform the lab following the steps in the procedure.

- While performing the procedure you can record your observations in the observation text window.

- Some useful Tips:

- 1. The Right mouse button brings up a popup context menu when clicked on the lab window.

- 2. Ctrl + left or right arrow key changes the selection of lab equipment.
- The Lab window must have the keyboard focus; click the right mouse key on the lab window.
