  3. General is a turn-by-turn military economic strategy.
  4.  
  5. A random map is generated, on which countries are shown. You are the ruler
  6. of one of the countries. The objective is to conquer the world, and destroy
  7. all the other countries.
  8.  
  9. The game has up to 20 participants. Each of the countries is trying to
  10. survive and destroy the others. You will play against the computer which has
  11. a very high level of intellect. The computer plays honestly! This is the
  12. best thing in the game - a real computer intelligence that never cheats and
  13. cannot even see the amount of your money, number of soldiers etc.

  15. In order to accompish the objective you will need to deal with the issues of
  16. economy, science and military aggression against other countries. You will
  17. hire scientists, recruit soldiers and generals. In any case, if you will be
  18. passive and will not try to conquer others, they will conquer you.

  20. The game has an excellent multiplayer mode. You can play with your friends
  21. using a local network (LAN), a modem, LPT or COM ports, or Internet. It is
  22. possible for several players to play on one computer.

  24. It is interesting to play with friends as players do not see the
  25. achievements of the others. And computer plays so well that sometimes it is
  26. very difficult to guess, which of the players are human. This introduces an
  27. interesting element into the game, as you are not only trying to win, but
  28. also to deduce which state is governed by your friend (it is him who is the
  29. real opponent!). There is a timer in the game, so that no one thinks too
  30. long! Three people can easily play the game through, with maximum settings,
  31. in 3-4 hours!

  33. The game uses the mode of simultaneous turn processing (the Hot Seat). This
  34. makes all players equal. The first player has no advantage.
